Description

1967 GS 400: Good solid car that needs a littleTLC to get it back on the road as a driver. It has a 400 engine and what I believe to be the original----------transmission. It is auto in the floor with console and tach built into the console. It has bucket seats, air condition and all parts or present and appears to be in good condition. It has the big disc brakes option. I have already ordered the new calibers and hoses but not installed them. They will go with the car. The car is currently not on the road but can be road worthy with a new or rebuilt carburetor and getting the brakes job completed. I actually have a Georgia Title for the car, which is clear and in my name. I’m only selling because I need the funds to find me a 1968-1972 El Camino SS.

ENGINE: I’m listing the vehicle as a non- matching numbers car because I don’t know is it the original engine or not. I have seen the vehicle run before the owner sold it to me but it will need a carburetor to get it to run again. It have the original “Star Wars” air cleaner but not the bottom piece that the air cleaner set on. It has the very rare original air cleaner bolt that’s extremely hard to come by also. The exhaust looks to be in good condition with newer looking mufflers.

TRANSMISSION: I believe the transmission to be original.

BODY: The body is in solid condition with the following: lower fenders great condition with some minor bubbling coming. Quarters in great shape with some bubbling. Left rear quarters have had some work possible some bondo in it from a fender bender…not rust. Trunk floor seems to be extremely solid with some minor surface rust as seen in pics.Worse area of rust on the car is on the driver side rear where the lower vinyle top and trim meets. There is also some on the right side also but not as bad. The overall roof is good but these two main areas need attention. Only a couple pieces of trim is missing, but the headlight trim is in the trunk. The floors are in great shape. I think I saw one odd very small hole in the rear pan

ENTERIOR:I would say that the entire enterior need to be redone except dash and console arear. They appear to be in nice condition just need cleaning.

TIRES/WHEELS: The wheels are a few years old as well as the tires and the wheels seems to be in nice condition just need cleaning.

GLASS: All glass is in nice condition with now cracks. The reason the previous owner set the car down was because someone came by and threw a rock in the rear window one night. The firs thing I did when I bought the vehicle was bought a new window and had it installed when I first bought it. The rear window trim is just laying in the back window for the pics. I told the window installer that they could cut the vinyle top to put the back window in. A lot of what you see in the pics is vinyle top glue.
