Very Clean Survivor 1960 Buick Electra 225
Description
I bought this with the plan to have some fun with it but other projects are taking all my time, so I'm selling it. It appears to be original unmolested. The guy I got it from replaced all the brakes and hoses on the car. I guess they didn't finish it correctly because when he went to move the car in his garage it didn't stop and he bumped the wall, damaging the passenger fender and hood. Other than that the car is extremely solid. It will need a passenger floor pan and two small patches (about 4 to 6 inches) on the lower trunk extensions connecting to the quarter panels.
Previous owner claims the original 401 Nail Head V8 was complete rebuilt. I took off a valve cover and it looks brand new but I can not verify a complete rebuild. It runs excellent and starts right up with the throttle start. Goes into every gear easily and drives around my driveway without issue. All the power windows work. It appears they were going to paint the car and started taking the interior apart. I have the door panels (they are usable originals but not great) and interior trim but am currently missing the headlight trim and trim along the trunk. I've asked the previous owner to look for it since he said everything was complete when he owned the car. All the AC parts and lines are intact, but the system does not blow cold air. The body is exceptionally straight for a car this old and that long, other than the previously mentioned damage of course. The grille seems good and the bumpers are definitely able to be rechromed. I believe I have all other trim but can't be sure. Will definitely need seat covers and foamWould be an excellent driver with a very small amount of work, or if you had a convertible that needed parts and a drivetrain.
