The last photo is just for fun, was a screen shot from some high-speed car chase posted on the imdb. Hilarious. Please don't take that photo seriously! Not the same car.
Car has a clear NJ title, freshly printed this year. It runs very well, has 4 new tires, has been rehabbed by previous owner(s) who cleaned and repaired a lot to make it usable, including carburetor rebuilt and tune up, rust repair in the rear quarter panels, extensive cleaning and painting, and an amatuer-ish satin black paint-job that could simply be touched up and left as-is for events.
The truck leaks transmission fluid as it sits in storage. You have to check the level before you drive it or it won't move.
It needs a new power steering pump reservoir, leaks from a bad weld on the filler neck. I have one in good shape at the salvage yard that would get included in this sale.
It has soft/weak brakes, likely due to a faulty master cylinder. I have determined that the master cylinder is a misapplication, not correct, lines exit right not left possibly a mismatch with the vacuum booster also. I am going to pull a matching Delco booster/master cylinder unit from a 69 Deville at the salvage yard to see if that solves the braking issue, before during or after this sale would be negotiable. Having brakes on a car this heavy would be essential to moving it around.
It does not have the two combo panels with the hearse bars, they are lost.
Has a sticky gas pedal, so you have to be mindful not to go blasting off into interstellar space by accident, especially without good brakes. I would love to take this truck out for a real spin but the brakes worry me.
The rims on this truck are likely from a truck, and do not accept the hubcaps. I will grab 4 authentic Cadillac rims off the car at the salvage yard.
The front windshield has a crack on the lower passenger corner. Would pass inspection here in PA, due to its age no inspection is required in many jurisdictions.
I have not driven this car but 50 feet, from the alley to my garage. The car is 21 feet long and weighs about 5500 pounds. The garage door closes with an inch to spare.
This car would need a full restoration, including rust repair to the undercarriage, or used as it is as a Theater or Halloween prop. The truck does look impressive and could be driven short distances to events. To avoid having to restore the interior I am considering getting all the glass tinted dark blue or black if this item does not sell immediately, since this item is best used as a decoration and I have a friend in the tinting business.
I bought this truck to be used mainly as a prop, but the events committee isn't interested any longer in using it, and I really have no interest on storing it for any other purpose.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
