The Cadillac Series 62 is a series of cars which was produced by Cadillac from 1940 through 1964. Originally designed to replace the entry-level Series 65 it became the Cadillac Series 6200 in 1959 and remained that until it was renamed to Cadillac Calais for the 1965 model year. The Series 62 was also marketed as the Sixty-Two and the Series Sixty-Two. In overall terms 1963 Cadillac was essentially the same as last year. Exterior changes imparted a bolder and longer look. Hoods and deck lids w...ere redesigned. The front fenders projected 4.625" further forward than in 1962 while the tailfins were trimmed down somewhat to provide a lower profile. Body side sculpturing was entirely eliminated. The slightly V-shaped radiator grille was taller and now incorporated outer extensions that swept below the flush-fender dual headlamps. Smaller circular front parking lamps were mounted in those extensions. A total of 143 options including bucket seats with wool leather or nylon upholstery fabrics and wood veneer facings on dash doors and seatbacks set an all-time record for interior appointment choices. Standard equipment was the same as the previous year. Convertibles were equipped with additional features. The engine was entirely changed though the displacement and output remained the same 390 cu in (6.4 l) and 325 hp (242 kW). GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this one of a kind 1963 Cadillac Series 62 for consideration. Featuring all the classic lines with no major modifications other than the shaved door handles and extremely well-done paint scheme this vehicle sure does stand out from the rest. According to the owner he has kept the vehicle all original besides a newer Edelbrock Carburetor and also a fully custom manual air horn and air-ride system that appears to be free of any leaks or issues. Our intake inspection shows all vehicle lights (headlights high/low taillights turn signals) hood and trunk latches wipers air-horn windows and door locks are all in good working condition. Along with the vehicle the owner has also provided many extra parts as you can see in the photos. Please call or email us today for more information on this 1963 Cadillac Series 62.
