1940 CADILLAC LASALLE SEDAN WITH FACTORY SUN ROOF

Description

This car will run,but I'm having fuel problems.It will start right up,but will run out of fuel,in about 30 seconds.It gets good fuel to carb,so I think it is in the carburator.I have driven it around the yard,and it shifts good,brakes work good,and it holds good oil pressure.The fuel problem is something new.Upolstry is useable,except for headliner.carpet is dirty,but vacumes up okey.I was going to put modern drive train in it,but found that they only made 143 of these cars, with the sun roof,and I felt that it should be restored,rather,than modernize it.Almost all the chrome,and parts are there.Some have been taken off,to do some body,and primer work.The only rust I see,from the out-side,is,behind both back doors,where the hose,from the sliding roof,drained out.it is pretty minor.Some one,has repaired it,but,poorly.The only things,that are missing,that I know of,is2 of the narrow chrome strips,that go,at bottom of rocker,where most cars,would have running boards.There should be 3 on each side,and there are only 2.The center horn button is missing.Th factory turn signal lever is there,and some of the bakelite parts,to it are in glove box.Side hood panels,are there,back bumper guards are there.If it had front guards,they are missing.Has new battry,and extra new starter in trunk.Spare wheel is in trunkHas one cracked side window.Tires look good,but are old.Body looks pretty straight.Back panel under the trunk,has been replaced,at one time.Trunk floor looks to be solid.Floor seems to be solid.I think it is a good candidate for restoration.Has good clean,AZ title,sighned,and notorized.Pick-up,only.It will be an easy load,for truck,or trailer.if you need more info,or pics,just let me know.Thanks for looking.
