Description

Unrestored 1957 Cadillac survivor. All original and almost completely rust free. An area on driver's floor (14"X 12") will need replaced.I got this car running by putting a new electric fuel pump in close to the tank. Original is still on the engine but will need replaced or rebuilt. The car started easy and I let it idle for over 30 minutes to get to temp. It did not overheat, knock, or smoke. The power steering and trans needed fluid. Upper seal on steering box leaks and seal for gear selector shafton trans is leaking. I don't see any oil drips on the floor after being parked for a couple of days.Runs and drives and stops around the yard, it is NOT ready for the road. I got it running and moving and rebuilt the master cylinder and you can pump the brakes up now and stop. Wheel cylinders were rebuilt and there is a rebuild kit included for the power brake booster. I haveNOT bled the brakes. The car can be loaded onto a trailer. Previous owner wanted towork onthe interior first, so he removed the dash and door panel trim for repaint, that's all the farther he got. He did bag and label the parts, so reassembly should be fairly easy. All parts are accounted for as faras I can tell.I love the original patina of the car, and was not going to restore the body. Passenger front window glass is cracked but the rest of the glass is good. This Cadillac came withpower steering (works), power brakes, power windows and seat. I did contact the previous owner to find out more about the car and he remembers that everything was working except for the clock when he had it. In 2004 he was driving it around before he decided to restore parts of the car. Thefront seat was recovered years back with a new seat cover, you could take it off to uncover the originalfabric that matches the rear (itdoesn't look too bad).

Thehub caps are 1956. They matched the threethat came with the car when I got it. These are the only parts not original to the car as far as I can tell. I did find some 1957 hub caps on line. If you want to keep it stock you shouldn't have a hard time finding a set.

I don't have the time to work on this car now so I decided to get it running and moving to offer it for sale as is. Itwould make a good winter project. Look around ebay and other sites to see these cars bring big bucks, a lot more than I am asking.

I also have a 1957 Chevrolet 2dr Handyman wagon for sale on ebay.Call for more info. 479-228-4304 Thanks, Mike
