Description

1966 Cadillac DeVille Convertible
  • This car has never had monkeys work on it like 99% of old cars. No wire ties, black spray paint slopped over everything under the hood, chopped up and spliced wiring, missing a/c components, wrong bolts and screws, back yard body work, cut up dash, missing parts, missing bolts and screws, wrong screws, bondo filled rust, Maaco, undercoat trying to hide rusted out floorboards and suspension, etc. It has never been wrecked. It has verifiable 88394 miles from service receipts from the 1980s.
  • This car was bought new by a highly successful Avon lady in Kansas City Missouri and it has been kept in a heated garage it's entire life. It was her baby. The seat belts are like new and unfaded. I believe the top is original. I acquired the car through an heir of an estate. I was going to keep it but things have changed for me.
  • This is a near original car. Power windows, power seat, power top, Wonderbar radio, power antenna, climate control, you name it all works except the clock. I have not tried to run the air conditioning. It has brand new tires and it just passed a Missouri state safety inspection.
  • This car has had leaded gas substitute kept in the tank so it does not smoke from using unleaded gas.
  • The car has a new convertible top motor and battery.
  • I had the top down on the car before the photos. After the top has been up for a awhile the top lays evenly flat on the top of the back glass. It does not need a top.
  • The top boot is in the trunk in a black plastic sleeve.
  • The paint is old lacquer and has check cracks everywhere but it still shines, the chrome looks great but for a #1 car it is all restoreable. The front seat at some time 30+ years ago was redone.
  • The sheet metal on the car is rock solid for a 1966. Fenders, quarters, rockers all solid. This is the only one I have ever seen that did not have rotted floorboards. I have even seen California cars with rotted floorboards.
  • I have driven the car 150+ miles recently with no quirks so you can drive it home too.
  • The engine, transmission, and rear end all seep oil from age. The more I have driven it the less it does.
  • I am willing to work with auto transport companies as I do it all the time.
  • This is a once in a life time car if you like old Cadillac Deville convertibles. Don't miss it.
  • This is my own car, but it will be sold through my company which is an auto dealer licensed with the State of Missouri, and it has a current safety inspection.

Mid 60s Cadillac convertibles that are #1 cars are big bucks and going up every year. If you want an original driver car to cruise / show or a complete car that is restoreable to a #1 $50,000 car without buying 5 parts cars and fixing rust and undoing decades of monkey work this is it.
