Vehicle Highlights:“Last American Convertible”8.2 Liter V8 EngineTH425 TransmissionCadillac had long established itself as one of the world’s finest automobiles. Joining the Cadillac Club in the 70’s was an expression of wealth and achievement. The 1976 Cadillac Eldorado is best known as “the Last American Convertible,” seeing that many believed there would never be another American Convertible built. Because of this, these ’76 convertibles were considered a collector’s item instantly, and prices for the vehicle nearly tripled its suggested retail price...of just over $11,000. Only a few styling changes were made from the ’75 to the ’76 Eldorado. The '75 cars featured a Cadillac crest in the center of each light, while the '76 models are unadorned. Also, the Cadillac script on the front of the hood was incorporated into the grille header in 1975, and was a separate part for 1976, mounted above the grille header on the painted portion of the hood. One of the only things that substantially sets the two models apart was the four-wheel disc brakes on the ’76 model. Our Eldorado dons a gorgeous Firethorn Metallica paint, and has been kept in excellent condition throughout the years. All the chrome and stainless steel on the car has been fully restored, and new white wall tires and wire wheels have been added. The interior has also been completely restored in a buckskin tan color.
