Description

2 1979 Cadillac El Dorados, the black one is not perfect by any means but appears to be as close to an original project 79 as I've come across in years. Runs good with no smoke, transmission shifts great. Rare ElDorado as it's the only year that Cadillac used the cast iron block Oldsmobile 350 Fuel Injected engine, which was the most desirable as the 1980 model used the 150 hp 368 engine, 81 & 82 used the 4-6-8 engine and then the 4100 aluminum engine was used until 1985. Shows 61000 miles, was a theft recovery so can't verify if correct. Very clean inside and out, seats are original and show normal wear, dash pad is excellent, original radio that does work, cold air, power seats and windows work, matching Goodyear tires with 80% tread remaining, original owners manual and hubcap key in glove box. Not a rusted out piece of junk, back window line in nice condition, does not appear to have any rust under the vinyl top. Body is very straight and paint looks as if it's original, I can not detect any bodywork on her. I've driven this car around town and had it up to 80 on the hwy, did not shake or vibrate. The only things that I know that need repaired are the following: The column was broken in order to steal it, it will need the upper and lower bowls, I do have the keys. The right rear disc brake will not fully release at times, possibly a bad hose or the caliper might need rebuilding. There's a replacement bumper filler in the trunk for the front bumper. the hood and trunk shocks are weak and there are some replacements in trunk also. The other 1979 Cadillac is blue and it runs but needs a fuel pump, not as nice as this one and been sitting awhile. Body is straight and rust isn't an issue, motor sounded good on spray but fuel pump is not working. Interior is okay, seats are in good shape, headliner is hanging down and will need replaced, hubcaps are aftermarket junk. Still a very good car to build or if you choose part it out. The black Caddy is $4950. the Blue one is $3250. I'd be willing to do a package deal at the right price, make me an offer I can't refuse. Thanks Rich
