Description

1985 Blue CADILLAC ELDORADO BIARRITZ w/ White Convertible Top & V8 350 Engine
I am relisting the Biarritz because the high bidder messaged me at the end of auction that his "kid" had placed a bid without his authorization and he did not want to purchase this car.

This 1985 Eldorado Biarritz is in nice condition for its age. It has been stored in a barn (year round), hasn't been driven since 2004. I purchased in 1993 and only drove it around town in the summers so didn't put many miles on it. Replaced the battery with a new one, pumped out the gas tank and flushed the lines, put in fresh fuel and it started right up. I also changed the oil and oil filter, engine sounds good. It's been sitting for fifteen years, its need to be run!
I learned to hate the 4100's after the second engine self-destructed so I bought a 1980 Eldorado which still had the old cast iron Cadillac engine and then swapped the engine, drivetrain and emissions from it over to this car. Some people would say that I depreciated the value of the Biarritz, but it so much nicer to drive. Lots more C.I., lots more power. I've been told that this 6.0 L engine is actually Cadillacs 500 cubic inch motor with the stroke shortened. I think that they were either a Turbo 350 or 400 trans.

Convertible top is very nice with good headliner. The material between the zipper and the back window has come un-glued across the top of the glass, I think its an easy fix. See close-up photo.
Body and frame are good/very good. Drivers door is rusty along the bottom, there is a stainless steel trim piece that runs across entire bottom of door (see close-up photos) so rust is not so visible from outside, passenger side is good. I removed the carpet before storing in the barn, floor underneath is near excellent, not rusted.
Paint is good, not checked. There are two scratches (not dents), one on passenger side door & one on drivers side rear fender, also a crack in paint on either side of trim on drivers side door (see pics).
The plastic filler piece between bumper and trunk lid is cracked on both sides, needs replaced.
AC is questionable, belt is on the pulley, compressor doesn't turn but was charged and everything worked when put up, will need some attention and also a charge.

Not shown, the doughnut tire and cover (included) and the boot for convertible top. Boot is tattered and torn but can serve as a template if you want to have a replacement made.
Four wire wheel hubcaps, missing the Cadillac emblem in center of cap. Tires are fair, not matching, one has a slow leak.
White leather pillow faces are rough (front and back seats) with wear, holes, tears, loose stitching, stains, missing buttons, etc. The armrests on doors have splits on corner of power window switch, see pics, common problem with these cars. The interior needs a good scrub.
Odometer reads 75,950, selling as TMU (true mileage unknown).

Selling as-is, please ask any questions/request additional pics before placing a bid.
