Description

1969 Convertible with factory A/C and operating power roof (original wheels and hub capsare not included, but they can be purchased separately).

I bought the convertible in 2013 from a mattress factory owner that split time between Arizona and California with the vehicle. Since I purchased the vehicle it has been in S. Florida.

It'sbeen driven a few hundred miles per year since I've owned it. I really appreciate the 429 and 472's in the late 1960's-70's because of their reliability and power. This isthe lastof three in my collection with a 472 engine. They're a pure joy to drive because it cruises on the freeway at 80-90 mph like you're driving 35 mph.

This vehicle isn't finished, but it's not a project either...

Other than the power seats the vehicle is electrically and mechanically sound.

All gauges operate.

All lights and signals operate.

There's no leaks...

New Brakes.

New A/C Compressor and Condenser.

New Alternator.

New Hoses and Belts.

New Starter.

New Battery with a kill switch.

If I was going to keep this car I would paint it while at the same time replacing the rubber around the windows, doors, and trunk. Some people would choose to fix the stitching around the rear window because it's original, but I would just buy a new roof and bootfor less than $600. Finally, I would install factory correct black loop carpeting.

I require the vehicle to be paid in full within 72 hours (including the weekends), and your deposit is non-refundable.

Please do not waste my time by looking at the vehiclewith the intention of chiseling the price down by pointing out every imperfection. I paid $13,600.00 for the vehicle and have about $20K in total.

On Aug-09-16 at 08:30:40 PDT, seller added the following information:

I apologize for the typos... I meant to say that the outer stitching around the rear window is coming out.

Ihaven't investigated what's wrong with the power seats because I'm6'5" and 275 lbs., so having the front seat all the way in the back positionis best for me...

One potential buyer asked a very good question related to the gap between the hood and front quarter panel. The hood was not latched in the picture and lines up perfect when closed.

Before purchasing this vehicle I would encourage you to have an idea on what it will cost to paint the vehicle. These are the costs that should be considered... 1) Thecost for a newtop (decide on vinyl and plastic window versus canvas and glass window). Factory correct was a vinyl top and plastic window, but the canvas when you see one is hard to pass up for about $200 more... 2) Don't forget the boot. The boot makes a world of difference from an appearance standpoint. 3) You'll want to buy black carpet with a loop because that's the way it came, and right now it has cheap black carpet that I can't stand - I'm sure you won't like it either... 4) There's always something that goes wrong that neither of us plan on with these vehicles, so try to have a budget set aside to manage those small things that might be discovered down the road.

You can purchase the vehicle "as is", or since I've done the research and have the relationships I can deliver the vehicle with these items complete for an additional cost that would be agreed upon in advance. We will also need to discuss lead time to complete these items. I've learned that when you're given lead times from body shops and automotive repair shops it's usually what they tell multiplied by three. Since I'm in S. Florida shops have a busy season which is always tough to gauge when doing this work (September/October - April/May).

I want whomever buys this vehicle to have years of fun and enjoyment.

Thank You!

John
