Description

Three owner car: original buyer, my father, now me. It's been in our family for 35 years. Garaged most of the time. Covered when it wasn't. Engine (331 C.I.) and automatic transmission completely rebuilt about 10 years ago. Less than 500 miles on both. New points, spark plugs and wires at time of rebuild. Same with shocks. Both chrome rear bumper pieces re-plated. Flowmaster exhaust system added with engine rebuild. Sounds amazing... sexy, low throaty rumble. All brake cylinders and lines rebuilt. Original upholstery. Runs great, but generator needs repair. This has not been through a frame off rebuild. Original 6 volt system. Always been on the west coast so no rust or salt corrosion issues. Although engine transmission, radiator, and brakes have all been redone, no other cosmetic work under the hood has been done. Power brakes and power steering all work. Laser straight frame. Weather stripping needs replacing. As a result some rust on inside of driver side door (see picture). Other doors are good. Minor rust spots at bottom of rear window. Radiator was cored, but heater boxes have not been worked on. New crests on hood and trunk. All new plastic covers and lenses on rear lights. New medallions on all four original hubcaps.hubcaps. Although windshield wiper fluid bottle is not shown, I do have it and the original lid. Original interior rear view mirror gone. (temporarily replaced with aftermarket unit). Original AM band radio works, although retractable antenna does not. Glove box locking lever broken. Carb has hairline crack in base. So, the big stuff's been done, some little stuff remains. Sad to see this go, but I'm downsizing and no longer have room for it.
