1935 Cadillac coupe series 20
Description
Cadillac divided it's 1935 V8 models into series 10, 20 & 30. Series 10 & 20 bodies were by Fisher while series 30 was by Fleetwood. Total Cadillac production (series 10, 20, 30, 40 & 60) in 1935 was 3,636 cars, of those 1,859 were series 20 divided over 7 different body styles.
This series 20 coupe rides on a 136 inch wheelbase. It was the largest Cadillac coupe that could be bought with a V8. It was the first year that Fisher introduced the all steel turret top, Fleetwood would follow a year later. Independent front suspension was introduced a year earlier, and gives this car a smooth ride. This Cadillac is a full CCCA classic and it is perfect for tours and caravans.
The smooth 353 cubic inch V8 makes 130 BHP is still the original engine as the frame number and the engine number are the same. Because this car was build without sidemounts it clearly shows of the beautiful lines of this Cadillac.
The Cadillac club shows 2 series 20 coupes in existence, and 1 of those got exported to the Philippines in recent years. This car is not registered with the Cadillac club, and after some careful research we found another series 20 coupe in Europe. That would make this car 1 of 2 in the US!
