Description

Hi Folks! Here are some things you need to consider when looking at one of these cars:

Service History; Most people ignore it. They change the oil, and that’s it! The radiators in these cars rot out without fluid changes. The fluid needs to be changed every 4 years. Ask people with these cars for sale the last time it was changed. 95% will have never changed it. That means that 95% of these cars will need a new radiator when you buy it. Radiator, thermostat, upper and lower hoses go along with it. Remember, these cars do not have temperature gages. They have a light when the car overheats. That means that the radiator can be running the car 20, 30 40etc degrees too hot, and you would never know. The transmission is cooled through the radiator on these cars. If the car is running hot, your transmission fluid is breaking down quickly, along with the engine oil. That is the condition the majority of these cars are in.

Other fluids; brake, steering and rear differential. They all should be changed every 4 years regardless of mileage.

Ask sellers when these services were performed last. Most will tell you that they have only changed the oil. They think that because the car is low mileage, it doesn’t need any other services. Nothing could be further from the truth.

These Brougham’s with the 5.7 liter motor, and the upgrades that came with it were only produced for 3 years. 90-92. The 5.7 motor was an option. It changed the entire car. The 5.7 cars were built on the commercial (limousine) chassis. Anti-sway bars were added. Heavy duty cooling and alternator as well. The handling characteristics of these cars are completely different from the 5-liter models. The 5-liter motor was standard from 1986-1992, with the 5.7 upgrade only available from 1990-1992. The 5.7 cars handle so much better and are a complete joy to drive! They also run on regular gas and get 22mpg on the highway. The 90-92 cars are also the only “Euro” styled cars, body side moldings, Euro styled headlights and jewel like rear tail lights.

The value in this car?

The radiator was changed at 27k miles. It wasn’t in very bad condition, but I wanted the car to be a worry free driving car, so I changed it. The hoses, water pump and thermostat were changed as well. The transmission was completely serviced with a fluid and filter change. The brake, steering and rear differential fluids were changed as well. All fresh and ready to go. Top of the line shocks were installed (the rears retaining the factory leveling shocks). Find another car for sale with that has had this care. Lots of people advertise that their cars “need nothing”. Ask them about service history and see what “needs nothing” means to them. This car truly, needs nothing!

If you buy a different car, you will need to put this money into it to make it a reliable driver. When you add up the costs, you quickly see the value in my car.

Lots of folks say that their cars are “garage kept”. What about when they take the cars out, say to work? That’s what counts. That’s when these cars sit out in the sun all day. I have two custom covers for this car. Anytime it has been driven somewhere, it has been covered. The condition of this car is amazing!

I added an updated stereo with full touch screen Navigation. It is top of the line! Nothing was altered in the car. It was installed where the factory system was. The speakers were updated as well. Top of line as well, they sound awesome! The system also has Bluetooth phone and Bluetooth audio streaming. Totally hands free calling built in. The audio for the call is routed through the stereo speakers. It really completes the car. This is a $2700 system. It ROCKS! It makes driving this car such a great pleasure! The car also now has a back up camera tied in to the Navigation system. Awesome for backing up a big car. It is completely unnoticeably tucked underneath the license plate area.

Rare D'elegance package in crush velvet. Gives you the gorgeous pillow back Velvet seats. Cadillac took a lot of heat in reviews of the time for the standard Brougham seat comfort. The flat Brougham seats just were not comfortable for trips. This is a non- issue with the D’elegance cars. You’ve never sat in more comfortable seats. The pillow back is unmatched. The interior of this car shows like new. There is no sun damage at all. It simply looks gorgeous.

Everything on this car works perfectly. You read so many ads listing things on the car that don’t work or function properly. What does that say about the way the car was cared for? Mine is a no drama, no excuse car. It all works, as it should. Every body panel is Laser Straight. Not one door ding. Look down every body panel, smooth and straight.

This is the value in my car vs. others out there. Find another car even close to this for the price.

This is the Brougham of Brougham's! 44k original miles! Very rare D’elegance pillow back crush velvet interior.

This car has always been a garaged/covered baby. Most of these cars were left out in the elements. This car has always been inside.

You will be hard pressed to tell this car from new. The paint is flawless and hard to tell from New. Run your hand down the finish and you will feel a silky smooth finish. It looks and feels new. It's Breathtaking in person. Notice the depth of the reflection in the pictures? It is amazingly beautiful!! The color looks incredibly elegant on this car. It is one of the most breathtaking Brougham’s I have ever seen.

There is no sun damage to this car at all. The paint, top, dash, door panels and Velvet interior show as new. It is so hard to find one of these cars that is without sun damage. This car is one of few that I have seen. Yes, even the top looks new. It is perfect!

The custom Cadillac wheels were purchased new. They were new when they were installed on this car. They are perfect! No road rash marks etc. The original wheels with the factory fake spokes are mounted on a set of standard white wall tires with less than 5k miles on them. They will be included with the car as well.

Check out the picture of the side mirror. Perfect chrome. No pitting or marks anywhere. The chrome shows as new.

The engine compartment has never been detailed. No sprays with fake shine etc. It is perfectly immaculate because the car is that immaculate. You can't fake that!

Included with the car are 2 custom-made car covers. Yes, 2. I'm that picky.

Features:

Power: windows, door locks, 8 way seats, trunk release (with power pull down), heated outside mirrors, antenna.

ABS brakes, cruise control, fully automatic climate control (just set the temperature you want and the car keeps it there automatically), digital instruments, automatic level control (as weight is added to car, the rear levels automatically), auto dimming rear view mirror, automatic headlights (turn on and off automatically).

Tilt and telescopic steering wheel. Reading lights (for rear passengers), lighted vanities (front passengers).

All fluids have been changed, yes, all of them! This car needs nothing! Drive and enjoy!

If you are a fan of these cars, you've found one of the best. Runs, drives and performs like a Cadillac should. These are considered to be the last of the Classic Cadillac's.

This is not a giveaway car. I have set a very reasonable price considering the rarity and quality of the car. If you don't see the value in this car, there are a lot of average, high mileage ones out there cheaper.

Feel free to call as late as 11:30 pm (California time) with questions.
