For sale is a 1981 Chevrolet dump truck in excellent working condition. There are no mechanical issues; no motor, transmission, or hydraulic leaks. You can get in it today and work. We used this in a landscaping business and hauled mulch, stone, gravel, sand, grass, and leaves, etc. Starts and runs as it should with never any problem. Motor is an inline 6 cylinder with a four speed toploader transmission behind it. Tires are all good, with no dry rot, and about 1/2 tread. New sheet metal includes doors, fenders, and hood. A new grill was also installed. All lights work, all glass is good, and interior is probably average for the year and the use of the truck. RH door does not open from the outside, but opens easily from inside. There is a long gouge on the rh door as seen in the one picture. The chain/strap box floor is rotted away as seen. Entire brake system and clutch assembly has been replaced within the last 2,000 miles. This includes new drums, rotors, and all shoes/pads. Clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing and fork have been replaced at same time as brakes. Dump bed in and out is in excellent shape showing rust on the gate only. Bed inside is solid, but used. Bed is 96" X 76". Sides are as follows: Steel is 18", and the two 2x12s equal approximately 22". Bed raises and lowers easily and smoothly with no trouble. Out of the business and truck is not being used. Contact me with any questions, or if you want a number to call me. Thank you for your interest.
