Description

For sale is a 54 3100. THIS IS A REALLY COOL PICKUP THAT IS BEING OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER! It is an olderrestoration on what looks to be a pretty damn solid truck. The cab cornergussets on theunderneath side are starting to rust but have not startedto bubble on the outside of the corner itself.Pictures include a soft magnate on the cab corners to show they are not all mudded up. There arealsopictures ofthe soft magnate on the lower cowls toshow how solidthe pickup is. There is one spoton thepassengers door that looks there is some filler cracking, butthat's about it. The floorboards have onlysurface rust on them. It has plenty of chips and scratches frombeing used since the paint was done. The paint is old enough not to be a base/clear job. It doeshave someorange peel, but does shine very nice andshows some great patina. The engine wasrebuilt 6 years ago by theprevious owner and runs great. It was upgradedto a spin on oil filter and is mounted on the firewall. I have only owned it for a short period of time and have not put very many miles on it. Butthe last few days I have beenusing it to check cattle, and drove it to town and back today, ( around 30 mi round trip), she ran great. The heater coil went out and the lines were just looped around. It has beenupgraded to 12v, all gauges and wipersect, have been upgradedto 12v.The only gaugethatdoesn'twork is the speedo. I put a brand new battery in it last week. The 3 spdcolumn linkage for some reason acts like it is 63 years old, and shifting from 1st to 2nd can be tricky if you get in a hurry. Once you get the hang of it you are fine. The front seat was replaced with a split bench out of what lookslike a mid 80's Buick. It give some nice cushion to a lumber wagon of a ride. All in all this is a really cool fun pickup that is nice enough to show, but not too nicetoactually use it for what it was built for. THIS PICKUP COMES WITH A CLEAN TRANSFERABLE TITLE!
