1953 Chev Sedan Delivery - Rat Rod
Description
1953 Chev Sedan Delivery - Rat Rod - Originally from Texas. Original patina body is in great shape for its age. Has some rust spots underneath. Floor pans should be done better however my intention was to keep it as a Rat rod not a restored car, so it works. Rear frame is new with kick up 10 bolt non posi S-10 rear with drum brakes, mono leaf springs with airgbags.
Front suspension realatively stock with drop spindles. Drum brakes and has been refurbished with air bags.
Tires are Firestone Classics wide whites on steel rims.
Interior is stock with some auxillery gauges and suspension control switches. Hurst shifter mated to 4 speed Saginaw with new clutch and hydrolic assist throw out bearing. Shifts smooth.
Engine is 350 Chev 40 over 4 bolt main with ARP bolts built by well known race shop. 202/160 stainless valves, comp springs, Isky cam, Offenhuser intake with 3 Rochester 2G carbs with 3 core rad.
All belts, hoses, starter, alternator new with pertronix ignition. Car has new wiring under dash and has been brought up to 12 volt. Custom fenderwall headers. Car is a blast to drive and runs temp all day long. Also have extra parts and original hood (slightly damaged ). Car's picture was in Hot Rod Magazine.
