Description

1958 Chevrolet C60/C10 Viking

NO RESERVE! This will go to the highest bidder regardless of price. Truck has a clear/clean Kansas title.

I am offering a great old Chevy Viking C60. These old trucks are getting more popular, and harder to find. I usually deal in trucks a little older than this one, but I couldn't pass this one up when I found it for sale.

If you are into this vintage of Chevy, you probably know more about them than I do, but I'll tell you what I do know about this truck in particular. First off, it runs great. I was told it has the 261 engine, and that appears to be correct. Pull the choke, pump the pedal twice, and it fires up within one or two revolutions. It carries good oil pressure, and doesn't smoke or make any noises. The brakes on the old truck do need some help. If you add brake fluid, the brakes will pump up and work pretty well, but one of the wheel cylinders on the rear leaks, and needs to be replaced. Because of this I haven't driven the truck, other than in the yard, but clutch and transmission seem to be fine. It growls a little in first and reverse, but I think that's probably normal.

The truck does have a hydraulic/PTO driven dump bed and it works great. Would be very handy for projects, or around the farm. This truck came from a dry part of Kansas, so it is inpretty good shape, although it does have a couple of rust spots. Cab corners, a little at top of windshield, one or two other small spots, but no major rot. Floors are good, frame is rock solid. The windows go up and down, and the doors shut nice and tight. It even has a factory radio, which seems to try to work, but sounds like the speaker is bad. Tires are fairly decent, hold air fine, and aren't flat spotted. All in all, a great project to drive as is, or while restoring. Just a wheel cylinder, and a quick paint job away from a great parade vehicle!

I've sold quite a few old trucks on EBay, so please check my feedback and bid with confidence. Feel free to call or text with any questions, as I don't check eBay messages everyday. My name is Cort - 620-786-5172. I am fine with vehicle sitting here awhile until transportation arrangements are made, as long as its paid for in a timely manner. Thank you and Good Luck!
