Description

One of the best original 1982 Camaro Z28 Indy Pace editions left... This isn't some "project" where an owner is passing on their headache/money-pit to you...no, its not a bucket-of-bolts, hodge-podge collection of parts dressed up with an Indy badge. This car is magnificent, original and turn-key, ready to drive to California tomorrow. Background: true survivor because an amazing woman from Michigan took care of this car like a baby since day one. This was never a primary car for her, it never saw a day of snow or salt, always garaged and driven only for pure enjoyment. Original owner pampered the car from 1982 until I purchased it in 2014. Details: This is the more sought after carburetor model...in 1982 each dealership received one of these Pace cars, many were installed with a new option - cross-fire fuel injection. Within a short time this option was known as "cease-fire" injection because it was a disaster. Some dealerships got the 4 barrel carburetor, and this is one of those cars. Original owner kept every single document associated with this car, from the original bill of sale to an oil change, everything is on hand. If there was something that could be added on at purchase in 1982, she did so...like the undercarriage protective coating. The original Indy 500 decals were never applied but those are on hand as well. I haven't done much to the car - new battery, new tires (you can see the old Eagle GTs in the first pic) just added, new radiator and valve seals...its good-to-go. Ticks over beautifully. I enjoyed this car for 3 summers, T-tops off, can't tell you how many people give a smile and a thumbs up when they see it on the road...now its your turn.
