Description

1977 Chevrolet Corvette T-Top Sport Coupe

1 Owner car with only 4,549 actual miles (Not a misprint actual real 1 ownerdocumented mileson thecar)

Two sets of tires and wheels included with this Corvette. This Corvette according to the original window sticker came with Rally wheels. I have a set of original date coded ones in excellent condition with original trim rings and center caps along wit the original Firestone White Lettered Steel Radial 500 Tires. You have the bestof both worlds as you have those originals for judging if desired and the chrome new aluminum wheels with correct reproduction Goodyears for driving. The Goodyears was a tire used in 1977 and could also beused for judging as well as those are the only known correct reproductions on the market today.

Properly stored since new and started on occasion to keep everything lubricated. Everything works on the car and drives like a brand new 1977 Corvette!

Outstanding "Survivor" condition that does not need restoring. Many so called "Survivor" cars look only good in certain areas but this one looks good not only outside and inside but the chassis as well shown in the photos. An opportunity to own as close to a new 1977 as you can get. These are great investment model Corvettes that will continually to increase in value for years to come.

No-Hit body, original paint, original interior, original engine and drivetrain, original dated shocks, just about original everything except for a new A/C Delco battery and new correct Goodyear Steelgard RWLTires just now being reproduced at cost of $350 a piece! The wheels were also added to the car and are the chrome plated version that just make the carreally stand out. You can easilybe looking at $2,500 justfor the tires and wheels on this Corvette.

The documentation on this Corvette is just simply incredible. I have the original window sticker, original purchase agreement dated 6/06/1977 for a total cost of $10,878.43 including taxes, original warranty book with owners information, original odometer statement when the car was delivered new had only 30 miles, original labels with the VIN # on them for when the car if ever would have went in for warranty work, original sales brochure and 1977 post card, original untouched owners manual and plastic bag that it came in, original sunvisor tag, original cruise control tag that went around the steering column cruise control switch, original consumer information literature, original battery literature, original maintenance schedule literature, shop manual, assembly book, both sets of original keys still on the original dealer key tags, original spare tire lock, original leather t-top storage bags, original jack and lug wrench, original untouched spare tire and wheel that has never been mounted, many, many literature pertaining to the 1977 model Corvette, odometer statement, original title to the car, it just is simply amazing once you see the car and its paperwork that goes with it. All documentation shown in the photo all goes with the car.

According to the VIN # this Corvette was built on Monday January 24th, 1977.

49,213 Corvettes were built in 1977. Only 4,057 Medium Red ones built.

This is an original engine and drivetrain car.

The overall condition of this car is a strong 2. Many will say a # 1 but Nothing is perfect. I have been around these model Corvettes and have not seen many that will compare to this one. Not to many one owners to mention as well with all contact information to confirm the miles and quality of the car. The paint on this car has a lot of shine and shows well. There is not paint cracking nor any cracking of the original urethane front and rear bumpers. You do have to realize that these Corvettes were painted differently than the ones of today. Back then they did not have the clear coats so it was crucial in how you kept the car stored and maintained. The lines on the car is as nice as they come. The glass is all original in near perfect condition. All window rubbers and door weatherstrips are original and not cracked! Amazing still how they look and feel. The trim around the T-tops and top of windshield is as new. The rocker moldings, tail light assemblies, emblems, front grill assembly, all look fresh and new but are all original to the car. The license plate hardware is even the correct original ones. Everything on this car looks nice and fresh. The interior is just "wow". The carpet, door panels, seats, dash assembly, all instruments look as if it came off the assembly line yesterday. No cracks, no tears, needles on all gauges are crisp with no dust behind them, center console shows no wear, ash tray is original and crisp, never smoked in or any food in the car, still has the new car smell. This was a first for a factory installed leather wrapped steering wheel and it to is just as close to new as you could ever get. The floor mats are original and even though the interior is all black, they are a dark grey in color mats. This was correct and only seen in 1977. You will not see many 77s with these original style mats still in them. I have seen a set of just the floor mats like these go for $300! The original radio works and even the clock works most of the time. The cruise control still works, the a/c and all heater controls still work, headlights open and close with ease, wipers work, washers even still work, and all lighting works like it should.

The engine compartment and chassis on this car should not be left out. The paint is still very visible on the engine and intake as most get worn and burnt off over the years. The underhood insulation is excellent, The hosesall look good, the engine bay is all originalwith the exception of the chrome air cleaner lid which can be changed back to the original black one in seconds. The original dealer that sold the car new did a light undercoating of the car and I still have the original receipt back when that was done when the car was new. We have since did a cosmetic detail to the chassis removing undercoating. The car is an excellent candidate for Bloomington Gold Survivor award as well N.C.R.S. Judging as well. We did service the car and installed a correct white A/C PF 25 oil filter, rear end grease changed, rear wheel bearing assemblies repacked, and gave the car an entire look over and corrected anything that might be needed. We have personally driven the car and was impressed not only how tight and nice it drove, but how much power it actually had. It by no means is no Hot Rod, but will get down the road fine and hold its own at 70 or 80 mph. Great cruise night car that you can turn the a/c on and have many power accessories unlike the older Corvettes were you seldom have that many options and features. Unleaded gas can be run in the car as 1975 was the first year to start that in a Corvette. This was the last year to see the 160 mph speedometer, the last year fora full size spare tire and wheel, and the last year for the straight back rear window which makes this model more desirable and sought after.

1977 also was a year for some needed improvements. This included a new console that held the heater and air conditioning controls and accepted standard Delco radios due to its increased depth. The side panels of the console and emergency brake were covered in a vinyl material that matched the interior color. This was the only year for that as all other years after 1977 were carpeted. The was the last year for a full dash pad assembly with two separate large instruments for the speedometer and tachometer. Later in 1978 the speedo and tach were built into one assembly together. This was also the last year for the passenger side map pocket as in 1978 and later this became a glovebox assembly. A new steering column positioned the steering wheel two inches closer to the instrument panel to provide more of an "arms out" driving position, and easier entry and exit. A new smaller air conditioning compressor was introduced thus revised to be better efficient and work even better than the previous years that had the long style base a/c compressor. New option K30 speed control was first introduced but did require the automatic transmission. Leather seats were standard equipment for the first time in 1977, but a cloth-leather combination could be substituted at no cost. Between August 23 and September 7, 1976, Flint Engine changed from orange paint to blue for Corvettes engines. The headlight dimmer and windshield wiper/washer controls were located on steering column stalks. Sunshades were redesigned to permit swinging to the side windows. The interior rearview mirror mounting point was relocated from above the windshield to the windshield itself. A new V54 roof rack option was introduced to design to hold the T-Top panels, permitting use of the full luggage compartment when the panels were removed. This was the first time that the Corvette was not badged "Stingray" on the side fenders as the previous 1976 model was the last to see that. The cross flag emblems were put into place however very early 77 models had no badging at all and can be shown in the original sales brochure.

The ZX2 convenience group option like this one has consists of dome light delay, headlight warning buzzer, underhood light, low fuel warning light, interior courtesy lights and right side visor mirror.

Also this year the alarm activator was moved from the driver-side fender to the driver-side door lock in later production.
