I have decided to let my 1970 Hugger Orange C10 go to a new home.I purchased it in Louisiana and had it shipped to Michigan several years ago.It has remained garaged ever since, never seeing rain or snow.It appears that it has spent most of its life in Tennessee and Louisiana.
The truck runs and drives incredibly well.It starts every time without hesitation... warm or cold.It runs smooth, idles like it should, and has plenty of power. It drives straight down the road, and has a very soft comfortable ride.Because of this it is easy to cruise down the highway at 70mph.I would drive this truck anywhere without hesitation.
It has the 350 V8 with TH350 automatic transmission. The transmission shifts smoothly with no issues. The odometer shows 24,609 miles.I would assume it has rolled over, but the truck is in remarkable condition so it is possible that it hasn't. The brake system has recently been professionally replaced with new drums, cylinders, shoes, master cylinder, and booster.Because of this, the trucks brakes extremely well, with no pulling.I have receipts for the work done.Newer dual exhaust makes it quiet with a nice sound.
Everything works on the truck, except the radio. The original air conditioning blows cold, the heat works, the horn works, the wipers work, all lights work, etc.The interior is in great original condition as well.I believe the carpet has been replaced, but that is it.Everything else is likely original. The seat has a few tears from use, but the bench is very soft and comfortable.
The body is in really good shape. It is very straight with no major dents and only one or two very minor dings. There is no sign of any accident. The paint is original, but thin in a few places. It is developing surface rust as a result. There is some mild bubbling on the rocker panels and lower door skins. The frame and undercarriage are in great shape with no visible rust, other than surface rust.It has front and rear coil springs.
I bought the truck because I liked the hugger orange color. My intention was to restore it, but ended up enjoying driving it as is so much that I couldn't bring myself to do it.The truck is in fantastic shape and has a very cool patina. It gets a lot of attention. As I said earlier, I would drive it anywhere, but it could benefit from some cosmetic attention. The fading paint will need to be addressed at some point. You could restore it or, or just drive it like I have.
Overall, the truck is in very good condition for its age.I have tried to be open and honest about it. It is almost 50 years old, so anything could happen. It is being sold as is with no warranty. Please ask all questions before bidding. This is a no reserve auction. The highest bidder gets the truck. $1,000 paypal deposit required within 48 hours of auction end.
I can assist in getting it loaded and working with your transport company.I can store the truck for a few weeks if needed, but full payment is required within 7 days of auction end.Cash in person, or certified funds and it must clear my bank before the truck leaves. So if you're paying with a cashier's check, make sure I have it at least 3 days before you plan to pick up the truck.I have a clear Michigan title for it in my name.
