A friend of ours bought this rare and charming 1957 Chevrolet from an older owner here in Phoenix, Arizona many years ago.
He owns many old cars so he did not drive the Chevy all that much.
The odometer shows 66,000 miles now and I think that is correct but I can't be sure.
The car still has the original paint, I am not sure who primered the right side or why but it is what it is.
The rest of the Chevy is original, unrestored and not messed with since 1957.
All rocker panels, fenders, trunk floor, underneath etc is rust free and beautiful.
I was considering painting the areas on the right side in original turquoise and white again but I'll let the next owner decide whether to do that or not.
The door panels are original and really nice, I was told that the original seat covers are underneath the seat covers, I am not sure if that is correct or not and I'll let the next owner decide whether to remove the seat covers or leave things alone!
Heater delete, radio delete, clock delete, cig lighter delete, only one sunvisorplusdog dish hubcaps.
The first owner did get the car with a steering wheel, that's something!
The engine is the straight six with a 3 speed transmission.
As far as I can tell the car is 100% rust free and the chrome isbeautiful. The cats around where the car has been stored peed on the rear bumper in a spot and there's some damage to the chrome there.
The Chevrolet was last driven 2012, I just put fresh gas in the fuel tank, installed new tires and a new battery and the cart started up and it really runs great.
The brakes are good and the car is driveable as you see it.
Since it has not been driven on the road in 5 years I would not recommend that you fly in and drive it home, it might work great or it might not work at all but it is a 60 year old car after all.
As you can see an aftermarket oil filter was installed a long time ago, a good upgrade.
The Chevrolet is super charming, the body is fantastic, great chrome and the car has never been restored or messed with plus I think it is rare with everything Delete!
It is at our restoration shop in down town Phoenix, inspection is welcome and encouraged.
