A solid Texas pickup truck, this is a 1957 Chevrolet 3100 with the long, narrow bed. The wood bed is solid but ready for another coat of varnish. Engine is a later model 327 V8 with 4-barrell Edelbrock carburetor, 3-speed manual transmission with shifter on the column. The camshaft it has gives it a bit of a lope at idle. Paint job is about 8 years old, so you will find a chip or two here and there, but from five feet away it looks great. Tires are recent, truck is currentlylicensed and can be driven anywhere. The wiring was replaced about five years ago. Current owner has owned the truck for about 10 years and needs to down-size in the number of vehicles he has, so not interested in a trade. He has a clear Texas title for the truck. The chrome bumpers, grille, and 3100 side emblems are all new in the past year. Windshield and vent window rubber seals are fairly recent also. Cab floor is solid. I don't think you will find any rust. Engine does not smoke or leak oil.
Brakes work well, clutch engages without chattering, and all of the lights, horn, and wipers work. Radiator will not overheat. Heater and defroster work. There is no A/C. The owner has a clear Texastitle in his name. There is a reserve price, more than $10,000. If the high bidder gets close but does not meet the reserve, we will consider the high bid. Those who want to inspect the truck in person can contact me and make arrangements to see it in Bonham, Texas 75418 before the auction ends, not after. Bidders with less than 5 feedbacks, need to convince me that they are serious and know how Ebay works, or I will cancel their bids. Please be serious and have your wife's/girl friend's permission to buy, etc.
We request a $500 down-payment via PayPal within 48 hours of auction's end, and full payment of the balance within 7 days of auction's end. Please make transportation arrangements within 30 days of auction's end. Failure to comply with any of these will result in forfeiture of the truck and any down-payment, and the truck will be offered to the next highest bidder. I can haul the truck to shipping docks in Houston, Texas, for an additional cost. Bonham, Texas is located 70 miles northeast of Dallas, near the Oklahoma border. Thanks for your interest. I have a good Ebay seller reputation--check my feedback.
