Short bed professionally lowered with 350 Automatic, Great head turner
Description
1988 Chevy short bed pickup. Truck has C notched rear endand Eibach front conversion kit. Truck rides great, and handles perfect. Paint shows very well and appears to be a recent re-spray/clearcoat. New rims and tires, new headlights, new taillights, new bed cover, new exhaust, flowmasters and pipes that come out in the center of the rear of the truck. Windows were just tinted and has window visors on each door.
Now onto the motor. This littlegal comes with a powerful Chevy 350 with fresh rebuildand aluminum heads, roller rockers, edelbrock intake and carb, new starter (high compression mini starter), transmission (still has 2 year warranty on it), A/C compressor, belt, battery, exhaust gaskets, tension pulley. Radiator was just replaced as well. In other words, a lot has been done to it! Very reliable and cranks and drives everytime- could be used as transportation to work daily and still be able to play a little.
Interior- recent upgrades include- new bench cover, new headliner, new carpet. Has a TV in dash and a pair of Bazookas behind the seat with a powerful crunch amp pushing them. New Fosgate door speakers and bass control knob. Tach was just install and has a shift light to let ya know when its time to shift. Looksvery nice and shows well.
Overall this truck is in great condition- people will notice you in it. Putting gas in it, it never fails someone will say "nice truck"- or "whatcha got in that thing?" There are still a few things needed to make her complete- I will put those in the next section- she's ready, fast and is needing a new owner.
Now here is what needs to be done- this is what I know- its an older truck, but these are the things I would fix if we kept her. It has a new A/C compressor but we have not charged the unit yet- it's only recently started getting warmer here. The passenger side door window will not roll down. The motor is new and is working but the window has popped off the lifting mechanism. It is rolled up right now. Has a small oil drip (very small) under the passenger side valve cover. One drop a week if that. If you wiggle the key ignition with out the key- it sometimes will turn and start the truck. I have the replacement ignition switch but is not currently installed. I am sure they may be a small thing I may have missed- but I want whomever is getting the truck to know what I know. A good day of turning a few wrenches and these can easily be fixed.
Now for the golden question- "why are you selling it?"-- my 16 year old son just got his 2nd ticket. This has been a truck project we have been working on together. His ability to stay under the speed limit has proven to be a little difficult- so much so the local court decided he need 6 months without driving to think about it. The first one - ok.. the second one- not so much. His next car will not be a fast one.. he is not happy about the sale of it- but his safety and others is my motivation.
Last- I am not interested in trades, cannot finance and cannot hold the truck. Please have your financials in order before bidding. It is a older truck- it is not a 2017- please keep that in mind when buying- I have described all I know. good luck and happy bidding, title in hand.
