You are bidding on a 1948 Chevy 5 window truck known around here as "Ole GW" with its fresh from the fence row look. The patina provided by mother nature has been cleared with a satin clear inside and out, its got rust, crust, bumps, and lumps,and even a stray bullet hole in the dash. The cab floor has been patched a few times over the years and the outer cab corners have been replaced. The cab has new rubber door seals, all the glassrubber weather strip and door glass run channelsas well as the glass is new, windows roll up and down, driver side window regulator is also new andworks great.
This 48 is sitting on a modern 2002 S10 framecourtesy of aCode 504conversion kit,this S10 had the Z85 suspension package which gives it heavier rear leaf springs, third "hop shock" for wheel hop and a larger front sway bar, the rear gear ratio is a 3.08. It has power front disc and rear drum brakes and power steering,runs down the road nice and straight and has had around 25 miles put on it so far.
The interior has a new chrome tilt steering columnwith a new classic Grant 3 spoke wheel, Shark gauges and speedometer that all work, working turn signals and indicators, new ELECTRIC windshield wiper motor, Retro Sound stereo with new speakers built into kick panels, power port to charge your cell phone, 3 speed under dash heater unit and newer style seat.
The exterior is sporting its original metal with new chrome grille and front bumper, also new taillights and tri-bar headlights with new trim rings. The bed has new wood andstainless strips and is raised to help out with clearance for the 20" rear wheels. Thewheels are Ridler 20x10 with 275/35/20's on the rear and 18x8 with 225/45/18'sup front.
Theelectrical is all new,complete new harness, headlights,park, brake, dash, taillights, turn signals, hazards and horn all work.
The motor is a stock 350 crate motor with an Edelbrock performerEPS intake, 600 Edelbrock carb, HEI distributor, 100 amp alternator, finned aluminum valve covers and air breather, new power steering pump, water and fuel pump, chrome oil pan. New aluminum high flow radiator and electric fan. Transmission is a stock 700r4 with a stock converter and a Lokar shifter.New Patriot headers with 2 1/2" exhaust pipe and welded mufflers, this truck has that classic muscle car sound no big cam just a smooth great sounding classic tone.
This 2002 S10 frame and suspensionhas been rebuilt with new front drop springs and spindles, front and rear shocks,ball joints,tie rods, sway bar bushings, rotors, wheel bearings, pads,metal and rubber brake lines, fuel line and a new Tanks brand 16 gallon fuel tank.
