Description

This is a 1951 Chevrolet 3100 short wheel base step side pickup. This is a no reserve auction. The high bidder will get this truck. Please ask any questions that you may have prior to bidding. I put a new coil in this 3100, put a hot battery in it, filled the carburetor's bowl up with gas, pressed the gas several times, and it fired right up. Please see the side of the engine photo that shows the engine running. Notice the spinning fan. It blew old rusty dustout of the tailpipe, I didn't see any black smoke, I didn't see any white smoke, and itruns pretty good. Ididn't hear any alarming noises coming from the drivetrain as it idled or as I revved the engine. Please bid towin. The titleis freeand clear to this truck. It will be registered in my name, accompanied by a notarized bill of sale, and the vin has alsobeen verified cleanby a state of Georgia law enforcement officer via a T22 vin# verification form.ThisChevrolet 3100will move under it's own power in all 3 forward gears and it moves in reverse. I couldn't drive it on the roadbecause the brakes are all the way down to the floor. I put it in gear while it was sitting on my trailer being held by straps and chains. I loosened the straps and chains to see if it would move.It stronglymoved in every gear as I let off of the clutch. It will need a battery, new brakes, tires, and (at the very least) a good once over inspection before you put it on the road. The tires still have the old inner tubes in them. They will hold air, but if you fill them up todaythe passenger rear and, driver front tirewill be down bythe next morning. That has been my experience with them. These tires will be fine for loading and unloading the truck. The front of the floors (The floor underneath the seat is pretty solid other than a small pin hole here and there), cab corners, back window, and bed floorwill need to be replaced or restored. The firewall, upper cowl, rocker panels, and roof looks good. The seat frame is in great shape, but there is no upholstery on it. This is a mostlycomplete truck. The tailgate and an extra running boardalso comes with the truck. Please see the photo. The truck is missing the lower passenger side brace or hingethat holds the bottom of the tailgate. The driver side brace or hingeis there. All of this trucks problem areas are shown in the photos. Please see the photos and ask any questions that you may have. The truck has great potential. Please look at your situation, ask any questions that you may have prior to bidding as I will honestly answer your questions, and only bid if you can afford to finish the deal please.I will accept the deposit via PayPal, Wal-Mart Money Center, bank wire transfer, etc. I will assist you or your transporter with loadingat pickup. Thanks and good luck bidding.
