1988 C2500 - Solid Old Workhorse
Description
I bought this truck last year and have done the following:
- 4 new LT tires
- Rebuilt transmission
- New free-flow catalytic converter and dual tailpipes
- New rear brakes and wheel cylinders
- New starter
- New turn signal switch
She's from Arizona, so not a rust bucket. Here in the rust belt, you don't see many clean trucks like this. The paint has peeled away, however, giving her a "distinctive" look that I like. The best thing is that other drivers give me plenty of room in parking lots!
Mechanically, she's in great shape. Always starts, runs good with hot heat and cold a/c. The seat is worn on the driver's side and the aftermarket radio just stopped working.
I planned to keep her forever, but my wife told me I really wanted an newer truck, so we now have one in the driveway. Silly me; I sure thought I wanted an older truck with soul...
So, here's your chance to buy an honest old truck without gimmicks like power windows, carpeting or Sat Nav. She's not pretty, but will get you where you want to go. I'm still driving her, so the mileage will go up slightly.
