Due to a major expansion of our showroom, I am liquidating some of the classics in my dad's and I's personal collection to help absorb some of the cost. This truck has been used as our daily driver shop truck for my dealership Teddy's Auto Sales in my small town of waukon Iowa. When we got the truck, we went through it mechanically to make it a daily driver along with addressing any place where there was minor rust (cab corner patched paneled, door hinge patch panels, and redid the floor.) I elected to leave the truck 100 percent original paint and leave the outstanding patina. I clear coated it with 2 coats of clear coat to protect the original paint and I left the original minor dings and dents to keep a TRUE survivor. The clear coat ads a amazing look and really brings the original character and paint of the truck to life. It is always parked in my showroom when not in use.
Being that it is our daily driver for the shop, we used it mostly in town 40 mph average and gotten thumbs up and great advertising wherever it drove. I used magnet signs for my dealership when we drove it so there is no paint or blemishes you would have to redo. It is still the original 6 volt system and using the original gas tank. The headlights quit working (likely a headlight switch went bad) I noticed a small seap of radiator fluid after running it a while but not enough for us to fix for what we used it for and it never overheated. The speedo quit working a few years ago but all of the other gauges are working. The truck fires up with no problem and runs with no knocks misses or smoke and has plenty of power. The three speed on the column shifts all gears including reverse and the clutch operates the way it should. The brakes stop the truck the way it should. The tires are in good shape. The doors open and shut the way they should and latch good and the windows go up and down the way they should. The wipers are in op, never really drove it in the rain. Let the pictures, and video tell you what you are buying. This truck puts a smile on our faces and our customer's faces every time we pull it out to run a part or get lunch for the boys.
This is a 67 year old truck that in my opinion has been preserved to keep the patina and collectability of a true survivor daily driver. As everyone has their own opinion of what a classic 67 year old truck should be, I recommend hiring ebay to do a independent inspection for you or come yourself by appointment to check it out. This truck comes with a clean title numbers matching to the engine ready for you to register. The air cooler in the window, license plates, and plate toppers do not go with the sale as they are part of my personal collection. I require a non refundable paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end.
