1955 Chevy Apache Stake bed 4x4
Description
I am selling this truck for a friend who has owned restored and enjoyed this truck for over 40 years.it has a rebuilt 350 and 4spd transmission with granny low. Transfer case is a 1979 new process also rebuilt.Front axle is a 1970 Spicer closes knuckle and the rear end is a international 10 1/4 early 70'so 4:88 gear ratio. New clutch, new power assist brakes and brake shoes, electronic ignition, fueling heads, Rochester two barrel carburetor, 20" steel wheels with mud terrain tires. This truck is HEAVY DUTY!! Started as a 1955 Chevrolet 3500 long bed 1 ton frame that was shortened. So now it is a 1 ton short bed. Lots of extra parts the owner never installed including the stock radio, heater, chrome glove box door, wiper blades, front drives haft etc. There are a couple rust spots starting to surface but nothing major. He used the wrong wood in the bed so that needs to be replaced. The dash is original and uncut, rare cattle guard bumper grille is original. Have the owners manual and sales brochure. Interior has been restored, sest,headliner,3 seat belts, fuel tank, stock motor mounts and throttle linkage, and new exhaust. Since this truck has been restored he has only put approx 5000 miles on it. He hates to sell it but he wants to put A/C in his house for his wife. Therefore I am offering this truck at no reserve! Good luck.
