Description

I have bought and sold a lot of cars (and will continue to do so), and I have to say this has been one of my favorites. Classic American Muscle, very well built 383 stroker, v-tech heads, and a close-ratio 4-speed that will pull you back in your seat in every gear. It handles exceptionally well because of the Hotchkis kit, and the headers and 3" free-flow exhaust sound like muscle. (CA buyers, this car is smog exempt, so you do NOT have to have asmog test/cert.)
Ibought this car from a seller whorepresented it to be a true 1973 Chevy Camaro Z/28 with the R/S package, and I believe that to be true. Unusual, since the Z/28 is sporty and the R/S is more comfort, like tilt steering wheel. I have theoriginal bill of sale, and a lot of records for this vehicle, all ofwhich will be included in the sale.
The interior is black, and is in great shape. Carpet is new, and I bought the Z/28 floor mats just a few months ago. (I drive the car 100 miles a month +/-). I did take off the instrument bezel and cover itwith a carbon fibre (vinyl) covering, which looks great. The turnsignal indicator lightsbulbs were both out when I did that, however, so I put chrome screwswhere they go (along the bottom of the bezel) to match the screws Iused all around the bezel. I did not damagethose turn signal lights, however, so the bezelcould easily be unscrewed to replace those bulbs.
I also moved the oilgauge,which theprevious owner had mounted in thetraditional location under the lower part of thedashboard, into thespotwhere the stock ashtray was located, just below and to the right of steering wheel. I made a bezel for it, andcovered that with the samecarbon fibre covering. I have the original ash tray.
The other thing I did to the interior was add anamplifier to the stereo,which I mounted inside the glovecompartment, and I replaced all 4 speakers. For front speakers, ratherthan cut up the inside of the car or doors, I made a bezel, covered it with the carbonfibre, used the same chrome screws I used in theinstrument bezel, and mounted in below thedash and on top of the transmission hump. I also added a standard headphone jack to the system (you can see the wirelying along the transmission hump on the driver's side, which you can plug into any device. I use my iPhone, but any phone ormusic device with aheadphone jack will work, and playsthough the stereo as "aux".
All thegauges, and everything else in the interior works as it should (exceptthe turn signalindicator lights). No cracks in the dash, door panels look great, headliner is new. The driver's seat is splitting alittle bit along the seams in thecenter of the seat bottom, but notenoughto bother me or be noticeable, in my opinion. You cansee that I putblack tape there. Seat belts on all 4 seats,with shoulder harnesses in front. They work fine, I always use them when I drive the car. New windshield, new steering wheel.
The motor is a 383 stroker that has about 7,000 miles on it. Edelbrock intake and holly carb.
Factory close-ratio four speed car with a 3:73 possi track rear end. New radiator, gas tank, fuel lines (all the way to the carb), everything on the motor and under the hood is new, such as steering gearbox, power steering pump and lines, water pump, fuel pump, battery, master cylinder, exhaust is all new and sounds great, dynatech headers, Dr. gas X pipe full 3" pipe all the way back Spintech mufflers. The header gasket on the right side of the engine does need to be replaced, but it does not leak exhaust that I can tell (it's just a little bitlouder than itshould be), so Ihaven't replaced it.
This car really runs better with higheroctane gas than standard premium gas. It runs fine on premium, but it produces more exhaust and will run-on when youturn off the ignition, unless you use an octaneadditive. I will include a bottle of the octane additive I use with the sale, which works great. Itis not essential, by anymeans, but the car isproducing so muchhorsepower it does run better with the additive.
The car does not leak any fluids. I keep metal pans under all myclassic cars, butthis one has not needed them.
Upgraded with a Hotchkis TVS pro touring suspension and subframe connectors under it with new shocks, poly body mounts and A arm bushings, which make this car handle great! They way this carhandles is what was most surprising to me when I got it,becausenone of the American muscle cars I have had handledlike this one. It holds the road really well.
New brakes, u-joints, clutch and all fluids were changed. 17" American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels,with brand new BF Goodrich tires - maybe 500 miles on the tires, at the most.
Exterior of the car isgreat overall,except there is body ruston the rocker panel below the front ofthe driver's side door. It will need attention at some point, but you don't see it unless you bend down to look for it, and here in San Diego it is dry all the time anyway, so I have not doneanything about it. The floor in the car and trunk are solid with no rust. The paint isnot original, butthe repaint wasbasically thesame blue as theoriginal color, so it looks great inside and out.
I have an extra air cleaner and valve covers for this car, which are black. They will be included with the car, and are inexcellentcondition.
I have the clear title in hand, the original bill of sale, and all the receipts for what has been done on the car. When I bought this car, I took it to my mechanic who I have inspect all my cars, and he foundnothing wrong, nothing needed to be done.
I have described the condition of the car to the best of my knowledge. I am a car-guy but I am not an expert. Please ask any questionsthey have prior to bidding. This is definitely an "adult supervision" kind of car, IMO. There is NO WAY I would allow my teenage sons todrive this car.

You can pick up this car in SanDiego, andhonestly I woulddrivethis car anywhere. No a/c, but other than that I would not hesitate to take this car on a road trip. If youwant to use a shipping service, I will gladly cooperate.
