Description

This LS6 is well documented with three original Build Sheets, early bank finance contracts and has just 69,880 original verified miles. The original owner purchased the car new at Dick Smith Chevrolet in Albany, NY and then resold the car a year later to Mr. Lewis Baroudi of Aurora, CO. Mr. Baroudi owned the car for 41 years, parked it in the garage in 1988 and never drove it again.

Practically everything is either new or rebuilt including original CRV Coded LS6 454/450hp engine, M22 4-speed transmission and 12-bolt posi-traction rear end. All sheetmetal is original. Additionally, this LS6 has factory Cowl Induction, smog system, F41 suspension, power disc brakes, bucket seats with center console, Ivory upholstery and is refinished in the original Fathom Blue exterior color with white stripes. Absolutely outstanding in every detail and one of the best documented LS6 Chevelles anywhere.

The 1970 Chevelle Super Sport is one of the most popular muscle cars of all time. Simply put: the car's appeal is undeniable and this impressive LS6 coupe represents the best of what the marque was and is! The recipient of meticulous restoration this fully documented Super Sport features an original LS6 big block an original 'Rock Crusher' transmission and correct Fathom Blue over white aesthetics. If you're in the market for an investment grade example of one of the best Chevrolets ever produced with great documentation, this is your car.

Body

This frame off restoration must be seen to be truly appreciated. The body retained all the original sheet metal during the painstaking restoration process.

Drivetrain

Although the second-generation Super Sport's ferocious Turbo Jet V8 was conservatively rated at 450 horsepower it actually punched the dyno somewhere north of 500. Pull this classic's pins and you'll find a correct cowl induction system that's cleanly integrated into a completely finished Satin Black frame. At the center of that frame a correctly decaled single-snorkel air cleaner forces oxygen in to a correct 4557 Holley 4-barrel which is threaded onto the correct Winters intake. Naturally the original mill bathed in vivid Chevy Orange paint fronts a correct 3963512 casting number with a correct ''CRV'' assembly stamp and matching VIN.

In case you're wondering the bottom of this Chevelle is just as clean and carefully restored as its straight body panels and pristine engine bay. Behind the big block an original Muncie M22 Rock Crusher hangs a correct 3925660 casting number in front of a Muncie (P) M22 ( C ) assembled on January ( A ) 13th (13) 1970 (0) build stamp. That gearbox twists torque to a correct ''CRW'' branded 12-bolt that's built around a posi-traction differential. Holding that killer drivetrain off the ground is a heavy-duty F41 Sport Suspension which centers a trusted Saginaw steering box between stiff springs boxed control arms and sturdy sway bars. Requisite power front disc and rear drum brakes increase stopping and handling ability. And at the corners of the car correct Super Sport wheels spin F70-14 Firestone Wide Oval tires around stainless trim rings and ''SS'' branded center caps.

Interior

Decked in correct Ivory vinyl this Chevelle's fully restored interior is both attractive and inviting. Its slick bench and bucket seats are firm to the touch showing no signs of detrimental wear and tear.
