Description

Your looking at a Chevrolet Apache Fleetside Longbed truck. This classic truck was restored by the previous owner on a full refurbishment (body-off See pics). It is a half-ton longbed fleetside with a solid rear axle and a wood-paneled bed. Power plant is a 235ci inline six-cylinder engine that was rebuilt with the proper year casting numbers. The original transmission was replaced with a rebuilt T-5 5-speed manual. The interior, suspension, and axle has also been rebuilt and refurbished. Specific Details: Paint is a two-tone Pioneer Beige over Bombay Ivory color scheme (extra touch up paint included). Original color was Flaxen Yellow. The body was taken down to bare metal during the restoration process and the frame has been lowered 2" on re-arced springs. Bed is re-done in new pine boards that have been protected with four coats of marine spar varnish. Inside the truck still has the original stomp starter, manual choke, and manual throttle knobs. Has a new factory heater/defroster box. Needs a wiper motor. The fresh new Bench Seats are also two-tone to match the truck exterior. New Seatbelts installed. The inline six-cylinder motor was rebuilt by a reputable shop in Phoenix, AZ. The block was bored .013 over, and valve seats were hardened for unleaded fuel use. A Fenton dual exhaust header replaces the original cast iron manifold. The generator was converted to an alternator, and a new radiator was installed. The original single-barrel carburetor was also rebuilt. The drive shaft and .342 drive ratio differential has all been rebuilt. New wheel cylinders, and the braking has been overhauled with a new dual master cylinder, new drums and shoes, and replacement of the hard and soft lines. Dual stainless pipes run through a single muffler with dual tips. Tons of Pictures are available of the progress.
