Description
I'm selling my '46 Chevy short box pickup that gets tons of attention and thumbs up wherever we go. From the outside it looks like an ordinary '46 Chevy that is all original metal with the exception of fiberglass rear fenders. However, underneath it has a modern drive train and suspension that makes it fun, comfortable, and reliable to drive.
It has an updated LS based engine with a 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission. The rear differential is a GM 10 bolt with drum brakes. Up front is a Mustang II power rack and pinion suspension setup with a welded in crossmember and power disc brakes.
The interior has been updated with a fabric headliner, door panels, kick panels, and floor. The original seat has been rebuilt and recovered. It has a newer style tilt column with functioning turn signals, hazard, and dimmer. The truck has been fully rewired and has an electronic vintage style gauge cluster.
As you can see from the many pictures, this is a very respectable driver quality truck but please keep in mind it is a 70+ year old truck. It comes complete with the rattles and squeaks they sold new in '46! I do have a free and clear title in my name. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. The reserve is set very reasonable to sell. If you do not intend on following through with the sale, please do not bid. There is a $500 nonrefundable deposit due through Paypal within 48 hours of the auction's end, no exceptions.
Thanks and happy bidding!
