1966 Chevy Malibu, Original 327, Automatic, Matching Numbers
Description
1966 Chevy Malibu, original 327, factory automatic on the column with matching numbers. I purchased it in 1998 from the second owner in its original condition (very solid body, no rust) and drove it for two years before doing any work on it. It has always been garaged on the West coast (no salt). Original motor, transmission, rear end, drum brakes (booster added), frame, panels, license plates, etc. Restoration was done in 2000 including media blasted, paint, interior and headliner, all new rubber weather stripping, new gas tank, power steering, hand painted pinstriping, and custom aluminum wheels. Original motor was rebuilt in 2003 with hardened valve seats, and a 350 HP cam. We also had the transmission rebuilt in 2003 with steels band, adjustable modulator, filter, and torque converter. After the motor and transmission were rebuilt we drove it from Oregon to Hot August Nights in Reno, NV and back (1000 miles) and Cool April Nights in Redding, CA and back (800 miles). Aside from that, all driving has been minimal and local. Odometer reading is not accurate. Since retiring we simply don’t have the time or resources we feel our baby deserves so are phasing into a new aspect of our lives and want to find a good, caring home for her with someone who will be able to give her that special attention and care. Will send any more pictures you’d like to see and gladly answer any questions you may have! Thanks for looking!
