You’ll get only the positive kind of blues from this car. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is very pleased to present this 1956 Chevrolet 210 Sedan that has been restored to its factory correct specifications, this car stands today almost exactly how it looked when it was sold new in Arkansas in 1956! Still dressed in its factory correct two toned Nassau Blue over Harbor Blue (code 703g) with a correct ivory and blue interior (code 566). This 210 left the factory with the desirable factory V8 powerglide option and still retains its original correct 265ci V8 with a 2B carburetor mated with the correct powerglide transmission.
Built at General Motors’ Janesville, Wisconsin assembly plant, this blue beauty was restored in 1993 and 1996, the front end was rebuilt during restoration and the car originally came from Arkansas. It has been driven about 2,700 miles since it was restored. The two-tone paint and trim is eye-catching and in overall excellent condition. The glass panels are in very good order but upon close inspection there are some minor blemishes in the windshield which is still fully visable. The car’s lights are in very good order, including where you fill it with gasoline – the driver’s side taillight is the fuel filler door. The temp gauge is inoperable. The car rolls on new Coker Classic wide whitewall tires, size G78-15, surrounding factory dog dish wheel covers. All of its body panels are solid and straight, the engine bay is very tidy and the battery appears new. The bumpers are in good condition although the front one shows some minor blemishes and abrasions.
Under the hood is the original 265 CID Turbo-Fire V-8 engine (#0334197 F56F) which has been rebuilt by the previous owner. Backing up that Turbo-Fire is a rebuilt two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and 3.70:1 gearing.
Inside, the factory correct ivory and blue interior looks great! The bench seats are in near-excellent overall condition, as is the complementary blue carpet, the ivory headliner, the blue metal instrument panel and the original two-spoke steering wheel. The inner door panels and mirror glass are also in fine shape while the gear shifter looks good and completing the interior is a factory AM radio.
The 1956 full-size Chevys underwent a restyle, with a full-width grille; large, rectangular front parking lamps; new front and rear bumpers and guards; inward angled dome-shaped taillamps set into chrome-ribbed decorative housings with back-up light lenses; new side trim and squarer headlamp hoods. The mid-priced 210 models received Chevrolet rear fender nameplates, had chrome moldings around the windshield and backlight, plus on the side windowsills. The singular bodyside molding featured a distinct drop toward the rear bumper after the intersection with the sash on the rear doors. Two-tens came with dual front sun visors, ashtrays, cigarette lighters and richer interior trims than the everyday 150 base trim.
Competition to this Chevy in 1956 included Dodge’s Coronet sedan with Red Ram V-8, Ford’s Mainline Fordor Sedan, Hudson’s Hornet Custom Six and Nash’s Statesman.
This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 2,701 miles since restoration. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
