1955 Chevy Bel Air Racecar
Bought in Burbank, CA. Car originally came with a 6 cylinder engine and a 3-speed transmission. Entire roll cage and back half of the chassis of this 55 is TIG welded and workmanship is fantastic. Fiberglass doors, trunk lid and bumpers. Low to mid 9 second quarter mile times. Many vintage photos, documentation along with emails to second owner who originally bought car from Binko, which has its own cool story and who is also the person who re-cut rear fender wells; all information will be passed onto new owner! Engine is a 427BBC Chevy and has been bored .060 over making it a 431 CID, 900+ horsepower. Pistons are hand formed by Vanolia, ED Pink connecting rods, lightened balance GM steel crank, GM aluminum 140 heads with extensive flow work done by Ollie Hellert. 13:1 compression ratio aluminum raised port intake, 1050 Dominator. Electric water pump and fan. Narrowed PRO built Dyna 60 with Summers Axles and Spool. Interior is your basic light weight racer. Simson belts.
