There are so many variations of a Resto Mod car that it is very important to buy the right build. The most important aspect of a restoration project is the donor car. If you start out with a rusty nightmare to cut corners, you will go broke. This beautiful 1962 Impala started out in Florida area as a simple grocery getting six-cylinder car with a two-speed Powerglide Transmission. This is important to know because the small motor and lack of power preserves the integrity of the chassis. This is also extremely important when building a Pro Touring style car or any high end restoration. Another very important aspect of a build is how new or old the parts are that are being used on the car. Is it a junkyard powertrain out of a rusty car sitting in the corner of a muddy and wet field that was used? Is the suspension out of a late model, chopped up car? Is the wiring harness a spliced in, hard and brittle harness out of a weathered car? These are just a few important things to consider when buying a vehicle that has been fully restored. Why is this important ultimately? The right build with the newest and best parts will give you the best resale and appreciation in value for your priced possession. This build comes with all the documentation of the new parts as well as hundreds of pictures as the restoration was being done. The new owner will be able to see the full transformation of the car. A BRAND NEW GM LS3 430-hp Corvette/Camaro SS Engine and BRAND NEW GM 4L65E Automatic Transmission arrived at the restoration shop on March 25, 2015. This GM powertrain was mated with the help of a Holley LS Retro-Fit oil pan kit as well as Hedman 58-64 X-frame LS conversion kit to perfectly fit in the engine bay. All parts were made by reputable manufacturers not made in a random garage. A brand new fuel tank, pump, and sender were also used to ensure clean fuel will make it up to the motor with the require fuel pressure. The car has a disc brake conversion and a Hydra-Tech hydro-boost unit to make sure this Impala stops like a late model sports car. The beauty of using all BRAND NEW GM components is that everything works flawlessly and seamlessly. All the harnesses are new and they all plug right into each component without any headaches. The GM eRod crate engine control system works perfectly along side with the GM "connect and cruise" transmission control system. A Dakota Digital gear shift sender converts the transmission linkage arm position into an electrical signal. The decoder converts the electricalsignal from the sensor into the individual outputs for each gear and provides the neutral safety and backup features. The Dakota Digital Instrument Cluster beautifully illuminates all the factory gaugesat night, giving the car a newer car feel. The Dakota Digital Instrument Cluster also features all the necessary warning lights. The Dakota system replaces the old factory gauges in their factory locations. The car was just fully aligned and corner balanced by one of the best corvette restoration specialist in the country. The car drives absolutely amazing whether the car is lowered using the Ride Tech Air-Ride System or set to stock height. What makes this build even more special is that you can jump in the car with your family and drive it across country with confidence. All the GM components make the car easy to work on by any competent mechanic without wondering if the car has any wiring gremlins in it. The car can't be replicated for anywhere near the price you can buy this car for. The hundreds of hours of fabrication work, research time in sourcing the perfect parts and making it all come together is a long and tedious process. With just over 1,000 miles on the restoration, the car is not even broken in! Why spend your summer sitting on Craigslist or eBay waiting for a wrecked car to pop up so you can buy used, old parts off of it for your restoration? This Impala is ready to hit the open road or a Power Tour NOW!
