Description

1969 Camaro convertible red with black stripes. I have owned the car for 20 plus years and spent almost the first 10 years building the car from a nice but bare shell. The floors and rockers were excellent. The bottom of car was blasted and primed/ painted with PPG black and the body done with Bright Chevy red PPG paint. New full GM rear convertible quarters were installed. New GM tail panel. New GM door skins and rust free GM fenders and liners purchased in Oklahoma. The hood is also a new GM cowl hood. Trunk pan, drop offs, and outer wheelhouses are new aftermarket.. It has zero rust and although the paint/complete restoration is 10 years old it is in excellent shape, probably hasn’t seen 10,000 mi. since completion. The car has never seen rain and never washed…hand wiped with spray wax and always covered. Ten years ago virtually everything in this car was new or reconditioned to like new. The engine runs great and pulls hard and mini-starter cranks it right up. Transmission shifts great.. Overall, the car does everything well. The car could use a new convertible top (rips in pillars). I didn’t bend/peen over the inner/outer wheelhouse flanges so it chafed through when it was down within 3 weeks after I had a new top installed. I drive with the top down so I didn’t have it replaced again. Has the power top but the motor is intermittent. It could use some overall sprucing up on cosmetic items. I have never installed a radio but Painless harness has the radio wiring. The car could be driven cross country tomorrow.

FYI.. I do not have a Title for the car. New Hampshire’s law did not require a title on a vehicle older than 15 yrs. and as I recall would not get you one even if you were willing to pay for it. I will search for the original but don’t believe I have it.
