Up for auction 1962 Chevy Impala sport coupe. In the very Iconic and desirable ermine white with roman red interior and insert, dash is original untouched and in perfect condition, paint and trim wise! Working optional Chevrolet cool pack air conditioning that blows ice cold ! This was a Chevrolet option available in 1962 through the dealer! Original rims powder coated red with optional 3 bar spinner hubcaps and new tires. 283 powerglide with glasspacks. Engine compartment has been meticulously detailed as well as front suspension with 95k original miles. All electrical is original and in good shape as is the glass. Car has had one quality repaint and has all original sheet metal in excellent condition with no repairs or replacement a thin refrigerator magnet will stick anywhere.Upholstery has been redone.. seats, side panels, carpet and headliner.Every singlelight on the car works,I.E. courtesy, dash, turn signals, hi and low beams, reverse. All dash lights including brake, bright, oil, gen, hot, cold. In fact everything works with the exception of the clock and the radio is fuzzy. The interior is very nice.The floor mat is the original one from 62. All brightwork is original and in good shape with very slight patina. Car is a bone dry desert car with all original sheet metal and is as nice and solid of an original body that can be found, I would say. This is aunmolested adult owned car that has been kept very original and I would say is a survivor.Trunk has its original gray and white speckle paint in excellent condition with original cloth trunk mats from 62 and a new trunk mat set too in red loop carpet. This car hadSS emblems on it that I took off and replaced with the original.. there are 2 tiny holes on the trunk for the oldSS plaque, a sticker would cover them up fine other than that the paint and body are very nice. This car was originally owned byBranch Chapman who owned Chapman Chevrolet in NaconaTx. I was told this car came to him new in 62 and he made it his personal car for over 40 years before I got it and it was a showroom model at his dealership back in 1962.I have owned this car almost 10 years and it has always been garaged and taken good care of I have put probably less than 1000 miles on it in the past 10 years.This car has always gotten lots of complements and acknowledgement for its fine condition.
