'50 Chevy 3100 Street Rod, Fuel Injected, 6-Speed, C4 Corvette Suspension
Description
1950 Chevrolet Pickup
This has been my summer daily driver for the last 10 years. It was bought brand new by the state of Montana in 1950. I have a copy of the original title and actual pictures of the truck back in the day. This truck stayed on an agricultural farm owned by the state until 1995. This truck has absolutely zero rust and no patchpanels. It is a solid, complete rust-free truck. I am 68 years old now and ready to go another direction. I built thistruck 12 years ago from the ground up. It has been super reliable and a great, fun truck for me. Just ready for more luxury now! This projectactually started out with a set of Corvette wheels I had, and had the idea to make the truck drive like one. Below are things I canthink of that are done to thetruck:
- Frame is fully boxed w/Art Morrison inner frame.- Art Morrison rear 4-bar suspension w/coil that has been C-notched for the height.- 9" Ford rear end w/ 3.90:1 ratio w/true-trac gear-driveposi and dutchmen 31-spline axles.- Front suspension is an '86 C4 Corvette.- Wilwood brakes on all 4 corners including master cylinder, steel braided lines andpedals.- Engine is a '96 LT1 that has been professional tuned with stainless ceramic headers, Opti-spark 2 distributor and Jet Performance MAF sensor.- Transmission is a 6-speed T56- Walker radiator.- Quick-ratio rack and pinion steering.- Ididit steering tilt column.- Dual 5" Classic Instruments.- Electric Wipers.- Heater/Defrost, but no air.- Good sound system.- Truck was fully sound deadened for noise.- True 2-1/2" dual exhaust with and a transverse mounted muffler.- 16 Gallon fuel tank has been relocated in-between the rear frame rails.- Actual 2" receiver hitch in rear that can be used.- Box has been tubbed and floor has been raised 2 inches.- Both bumpers are original bumpers from the factory.- Corvette wheels with good Michelin Pilot tires.- No extra charge for the 5000 rock chips!
This truck is a true survivor. It is solid and has been a great truck that gets tons of thumbs up! I have always kept it in my shop. A $500 deposit is due at the end of auction within 24 hours. You can either fly up and drive it home or send a transport truck. Our airport (RDM) is close and I could pick you up if needed. I know I don't have a lot of feedback on eBay as I never really use it, but please don't let this keep you from bidding. I am just trying to put more eyes on it, and want it to go to a good home. Full balance is due within 7 days of auction closing. If you have any questions about the truck feel free to call me at 541-359-6904 as I will not get on the computer often to answer them.
