Mildly customized 1981 Corvette with new motor and much more.h
Description
At age 60 I decided to buy a Corvette. I found this one in the Arizona desert where I am told it spent most of it's life. the gut I bought it from had been working on it for quite a while and planned to finish the restoration But that all changed when his wife said she was expecting. I have had this car about 5 months now which is long enough to find out that getting in and out of it is aggravating my hip and knee that were injured when I fell from a tree while bow hunting 10 years ago. Hate to sell but doctor says it needs to go. was told the car had a 350 crossfire that was pulled to make room for a brand new 400 chevy big block with a cam and oversized heads. The motor only has about 1500 miles on it since it was built and has not been above 3000rpm.New carb, high performance starter, exhaust, tires and wheels and AC which just needs charged. The 350 turbo has been set up manual shift which I like but I am told itcan be converted back by simply putting the valve body back in the side of the tranny. Was told the tranny and front end were recently overhauled. Seat and door panels are in good shape but dash has a few cracks in it.I found dash cap on eBay for about 100.00 and noticed a few other trim pieces the car is missing there as well. I will miss driving this car around town as it really turns heads. Should not take much to finish it up. Sold as a drivable restoration project. I have a cover for it as well. Feel free to ask questions. The reserve is about half of what has been invested in this car recently. Tires are 295x50x 15''. 500.00 is due at the end of the auction thru PayPal . Please contact seller about payment of the remainder.

We went to the parts store together to get a new gasket as my mechanic did not to reuse the cork gasket. After an extensive search we found that the ONLY oil pan gasket that matched was for a chevy 400 Made in 1979 and 1980. The motor was used in Chevy trucks. Both the man at the parts store and my mechanic told me this is not a small block howeve, a few think that they know more about this motor than me. Perhaps they do but I doubt it.
