Description

Thank you for looking at my 1953 Chevy 5 window pickup. Icompleted the build a little over a year ago. Truck drives/ handles real nice. Frequently driven to work andfor fun on weekends. Gets to highwayspeed with no issues. Truck features a rebuilt 355 Chevy engine, weiand intake, edelbrock Carb(manual choke), mild cam with Headers. Currently has about 1100 miles on it. Trans is a 700r4 with about 65,000 miles. I put new seals/gasket in as well as new torque cover before installed. Rear end is out of 1991 S10 with diff lock and 3.42 gear ratio (all new gasket and seals). Exhaust is header with turbo mufflers. Not loud but throaty. Aluminum radiator with electric fans, GM Serpentine belt systemSuspension in all new. Rear is TCI rear leaf kit and includes new shocks, 5" drop(pic included). Front suspension is all 1991 Chevy S10 sub that has been welded to the original 53 truck frame. 3" drop. I have included pics to show it was done correctly and is very strong. New shock and front end parts as well.Brakes are all fairly new (1100 miles). Rear drum, front disc, master cylinder and booster out of 1991 S10Wiring is all new with a multi circuit EZ harness, 12v. Wipers are upgrades to 12v electric. Gauges are all new as well.Battery in Cab behind Passenger seat. Gas Tank under bed( pic included).
The truck body and frame were completely soda blasted and por15. All rust cut out and repaired. Left some dents/dings in for character. Once body work was complete and primed, bottom of cab was coated with bed liner(see pics). I think it cuts down on noise. Body was then painted with base coat and then cleared with low gloss clear. All the rubber door/windowseals are new. All glass is the newer safety glass. Windows and all vents function as expected. Bed has green treated wood that has been stained.
Interior: Floor covered with foil insulation then carpeted. Headliner and kick panels are vinyl covered. Area behind seats up wall where tank used to be is wrapped and covered in carpet. Seats are out of a Dodge Dakota. S10 console. Column, steering wheel, pedal assembly out of 1991 S10. No heat, no air.
Overall truck is clean and easy to maintain with off the shelf parts and does nice burn outs. Please feel free to come view and drive the truck.
