1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS RS Convertible. This is a true SS with the original numbers matching 350 engine.
This Camaro is for sale or trade (trade even, up or down). If you have trade offers, please realistically value your trade as my car is worth more than the asking price.I'm selling because I have purchased another convertible and only desire to keep one convertible at this time.I'm interested in modern cars and classics.I'm particularly fond of 911s, 69 Camaro coupes, Nova and Chevelle, but would consider many others. Please don't be offended if I pass on a trade offer.
If you have been looking for a meticulously rotisserie restored true SS/RS Camaro convertible, this is your car. Over $65,000 in restoration receipts - frame off/nuts & bolts restoration that was completed in mid-2015.This is a highly detailed restoration and EVERYTING on this car works 100% without exception - every light, every gauge (including the tic-toc-tach) all work as they did from the factory. The ClassicAir blows cold and the heat blows hot.The RS package is 100% functional and correct - restored with the vacuum operated hideaway headlights just like the original 68s.
The list of new parts is extensive and the build took multiple years to complete. This Camaro is as close to showroom as they come - not many 1968s can boost that.Is it perfect? No, but it is darn close.I can only detect one small nick in the paint which is the size of a pinhead. All gaps are spot on - less the driver's side lower door gap which could use adjustment to be perfect (I'm nitpicking here) - the paint is virtually flawless. The undercarriage is beautiful and fully painted, cleared and undercoated where necessary. The rear-end is a 12 bolt positive traction that has been restored (it's a 69 rear-end and geared high for highway cruising).
This Camaro was appraised in February 2017 for $75,800 - read the appraisal regarding the outstanding condition of this vehicle.
About the build: professionally rebuilt by a reputable restoration company in Florida.Every piece of this car was disassembled, restored or replaced. Is has been painted in the original matador red with PPG base coat and 3 coats of clear with a new soft top and interior. The engine is original to the car and has the appropriate markings that verify it's the vin matching original 350ci.Only high quality components were utilized throughout the build - new full pans, fenders, hood, etc. Doors and cowl are original. This build was for a show car quality restoration with ZERO rust issues, including those nasty bubbles seen in many classics.Transmission is a freshly built TH400 and carb is a 750 Quadrajet.Power steering and brakes work perfect.
