1969 Camaro RS/SS Convertible Project Car with LS1 Engine 4L60E Automatic Transmission
This1969 Camaro SS Convertible was originally purchased to restore as a stock Indy Pace Car Replica-White with Rally Red-Orange-Racing Stripes and interior, however most of the mechanical parts including the original engine and transmission and most of the miscellaneous body and trim parts were lost in Hurricane Katrina flooding - the major body and chassis parts were stored in a different location and were not flooded.Due to the loss of original parts, I decided to rebuild the car as a restro-rod Katrina Tribute Car with a Nassau Blue with white stripes and an off-white interior. At this point in the project Ihave over $ 41K invested in the original car and parts. Project & cost documentation is available for serious bidders.
Recently the person that was contracted to paint the car passed away, so at this point I am selling the car as a project car.The car is essentially rust free with new floor and trunk panels and is ready for painting.

Response - A 2000 SS Camaro with 20 K miles that I originally installed in a 1998 Z28. When my youngest son wrecked the car after driving it for two weeks. I removed the engine & installed it the vehicle. 2. Question - Do you have the four cocktail shakers for the car? Response - No, the car has the Hotchkis convertible bolt-up frame stiffeners that tie the front & rear subframes and the left & right floor pans together. Note these stiffeners cannot be installed until the vehicle is completely assembled. 3. Question - Is the vehicle titled? Response - No, the vehicle has never been driven on the street under my ownership, so I never registered it. 4. Question - Do you have a VIN tag for the car? Response - Yes, the VIN number is 2G1FP22P6P2111875. 5. Question - What needs to be done to complete the car and what is the estimated cost? Response - Approximately $ 10-12 K (excluding purchaser preferences such as wheels, tires, & accessories for the following: a. Drive Shaft, b. Paint & Assembly, c. Interior Kit & Installation, d. Convertible Top & Installation 6. Question - What project documentation is available? Response Excel Spreadsheet documenting project purchases & subcontractor work, purchase invoices, and vendor installation documentation. Note: a copy of the spreadsheet can be emailed to interest parties. 7. Question - Can all the extra parts be shipped with the vehicle on an open car hauler? Response - No, the car is disassembled for painting and the vehicle would have to be reassembled and some of the new parts that are still boxed would have to be shipped separately. The best shipping solution would be an enclosed car hauler that could accommodate the extra parts. Second best solution would be to use an open car hauler with a pickup to transport the uninstalled car parts.
