Description
1985 Chevy El Camino - 1,636 actual Miles Pristine Time Capsule
Up for a true no reserve auction is a very unique and rare 1985 El Camino SS with an amazing 1,636 miles since new. This time capsule has been extremely well preserved and is perhaps the most original and pristine example left in existence. This car was purchased new July 26 1985 from Jim Testa Chevrolet in Kings Mountain, NC and has only seen an average of 50 miles per year. It has been in a private car collection which consist primarily of low or no mileage vehicles all of which have been well preserved.
This El Camino still wears its original Goodyear Vector tires which show no signs of checking /cracking or wear . The belts, hoses, brakes and even the tailgate grease is all 100% original. The only thing on this car that is not original is the battery.
This car looks as good as the day it was sold new, it still has all the original keys, manuals etc... The body shows very well much in part due to it being stored inside under 3 car covers. The paint, chrome rubber, etc... are all in exceptional condition. The interior is flawless down to the original floor-mats with no defects at all. Under the hood looks new with no signs of corrosion or evidence of any repairs. All of the rubber is still very soft with no checking. Overall this car is outstanding and looks new inside and out.
We took this car out for a 5 mile drive last week and it is running and driving great but with any car that is not driven much it may need a tune-up.

If you are a serious buyer and would like to inspect the car in person give us a call.
You need to see it to really appreciate and understand the pristine condition.
Notes:Once again I encourage you to view the car in person if possible; which is the only way to appreciate the pristine condition. The El Camino is close to perfect:
The air conditioning has pressure, and will need Freon.
If you look hard enough, you will find a few very minor scratches or perhaps other flaws. (you can find flaws in a new car)
You are buying a car that is near mint condition, and likely will never find a better one.
You can still see the factory orange peel in the paint.
