Description

1985 Chevrolet C30 Dually Pickup Truck7.5L 454cid V8 EngineClean Title
Very difficult to find, these are rare on the market. Good solid truck with 79,700 original miles. Engine runs strong and well, transmission is great and its a 3 speed automatic. Please don't send me low ball offers, I like this truck and will hold onto it if a decent offer doesn't come through. If you want to come see it before making an offer, please do. The best way to judge a truck is IN PERSON.
Newly replaced within the last month (have receipts):- Battery- New 100 amp Alternator- Headlamps, grille, headlight rings- Alpine stereo with amplifier/subwoofer, new antenna- Alarm system- Backup camera- Sound insulation and heavy backed carpet all new- Marker light lens- Brake pedal rubber- New floormats- New seat covers and dashmat- New LED running lights- New rearview mirror- A/C just charged and working (blower is a bit light, but cab gets cold!)- New dimmer switch and headlight switch- New Reese tow power 7 way connector with 4 & 5 flat connector- Plugs, wires, distributer cap is about 1 year old
There is a USB charger and a nice mic hooked up to the alpine stereo so that you can speak on bluetooth, hands free. Dual gas tanks, and dual running boards. Safety Rack on the bed to protect the windows from things you're hauling. Rear sliding window as well.
This is not a show truck, it is a great work truck and great for towing. If you have a need for an extra heavy duty vehicle - this will do the job. Could make a nice cruiser too. Back seat is in nearly original condition. Front seats came from a similar year Chevy Suburban and are a little stained under the covers but upholstery is not torn. As a restoration project, I'd say the biggest thing that needs fixing is the rust. But it will drive just fine if you don't do a thing.
About the rusty parts: There is a bit on the roof just over the top corners of the front window and down toward the window pillar and top door jambs over the passenger and driver doors (see photos). When we had the old carpet out we saw some rust in the front passenger floor pan, but no hole, so we just painted it over with POR-15 so that it could get no further. The rest of the cab was clean. Doors have some dents, rest of body looks good. As I said though this is more of a work truck than a pretty machine. The under body area has surface rust but nothing major, email me and I can send you photos of beneath the truck.
Clean title, first come, first served, and - since folks can't or just don't read - I'll type it again -no crazy low ballers please as I do not need to sell this truck. Asking price is just above the lowest NADA guides value.Tri-ball hitch not included as I borrowed it.
Why am I selling? Because I am looking for a 2000 or newer 4x4 pickup, just want to change it up. My main use for this truck is towing a fishing boat and hardware store/lumber runs for the house. It isn't my daily driver or primary vehicle.
Thanks for looking, please feel free to email me with any questions. I do have more photos and can email them to you, also - if you want to stop in and see it I am in the 10301 zip code for one more week. After that I'll be in NJ. TRUCK IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY, so if it sells this listing will be cancelled.
