History:

I have owned the car for 25 years purchasingyear after frame off Restoration was completed.It has since Restoration always been covered in heated garage.Has never been outside in weather elements, nor hose washed.Body is laser straight,paint restoration is beautifully reproduced in deepmulti-coat Bolero Red and flawless to correct factory paint details, undercarriage is pristine, Soft-Ray tinted glass is flawless, and original chrome/stainless trim pieces have been returned tothe exterior. Inner fenders, firewall, hood undercoat, trunk undercoat, door housings, andcorrect black trimcoat leading into tail light housings are all correct to original paint details.Original unrestored Interior retained with but a few very minor restoration exceptions. In the photostherear mount antenna isshown dropped down into trunk due to car cover, white bags in floors and trunk are for humidity control. All new fluids/filters throughout in April 2016.

The prior owner found the car while on vacation in North Carolina.It was one of 34 396-375hp cars built with the “California Air” (air injection reactor (RPO K19) option), and no power or air conditioning equipment.This was learned at the National Chevelle Owners Convention attended by over 300 members in Peoria in 1986.A well know Chevelle guru and employee of the Tonawanda, NY GM engine plant, with access to all the production engine records confirmed theinformation at the Convention. While this is good historical build code information,please note I do not own the original engine or wheels. Although equipped during restoration with a BBC "RAT" 468, the buildintended to not deviate far from the "396" look/feel under the hood. I contacted the Northern Illinois Chevelle Club in 1992 where the prior owner was a member, and they confirmedthe car was wellknown in the Clubprior to restoration by several Chevelle members, two who knew the car when it was full stock prior to restoration. Other then wheels/tires, the car well presents it's original true 138 Super Stockfactory heritage.

The car restoration and custom modifications were done to a high Professional standard. The carbuilt street legal, has been well cared for, driven respectfully,and shown locally.I've driven to ordinance enforced "cruise night" eventswithout incident.
