At a quick glance it looks like a mildly customized 69 Camaro, but as it passes by, the snarling exhaust note and meaty 335mm rear tires make it obvious that this car is far from stock. With 720hp and 690lbft on tap, this car is able to break those 335s loose at the driver’s will. The upgraded powertrain, being a 540 stoker and TCI TH400 automatic, makes this Camaro all that you could ever want from a muscle car; with usable power, an intimidating exhaust note, and of course the iconic 69 Camaro look. Exterior: Flat white paint looks excellent with a bit of pearl to it, especially against the black wheels and dark tinted glass. There are absolutely no blemishes; no chips, scratches, scuffs, or dings. The car presents exceedingly well and has obviously been treated as the very special car that it is. Panel fitment is spot on. The only thing I can really criticize is that the 502 emblem on the driver front fender isn’t perfectly straight, but we’re really grasping at straws here. Matte black 18” Rushforth wheels are in as-new condition, and Michelin Pilot Sport tires have 80% tread remaining up front and 60% in the rear. Glass and lights are all clear and crack-free. The pictures really speak for themselves; this beautiful car presents very well and has massive presence in person. Interior: Inside presents much like the outside, it’s cleannnn. Modern black leather sport seats are powered, comfortable and supportive, and show no wear or damage. The car is equipped with Vintage Air, which looks period-correct and keeps the cabin nice and cool. The dash is new but retro; it sticks with the original 1960s look, but with new Autometer gauges. Headliner is OEM style and holds tight, black carpeting is in great shape with no tears or stains. Stereo is a Pioneer unit with bluetooth compatibility. Mechanical/Underneath: Please see the above list of modifications for further detail on the mechanicals of this car. This restomod Camaro has a 540cid Stroker V8 bought new from HBR Competition Engines and a TCI TH400 Automatic Transmission, with 1727 miles since being installed less than five years ago. While it has enough power to be a straight-line weapon, handling is excellent due to an upgraded suspension with RideTech front and rear coilovers, tubular upper and lower A-arms, RideTech rear 4-link bars with anti roll bar, and Global West subframe connectors. Brakes are excellent, with a Wilwood master cylinder, Wilwood four wheel discs with 6-piston calipers, and cross-drilled and slotted rotors. Rear end is a 9” Moser Posi with 3.73 gears and Moser axles. Holley electronic fuel injection is another nice modern touch. Underneath the car looks quite good; when the car was restored, the frame was reinforced with subframe connectors and the suspension was upgraded significantly. There is evidence of past rust repair in the floors, though it has since been repaired, undercoated, and reinforced. No rust or structural concerns whatsoever. Overall, this car is a well-executed manifestation of the owner’s vision of the ultimate Camaro. And with it sitting in front of me now, it’s hard to argue that it’s anything but that. With well over $100k invested, this car is nothing shy of stunning. With any further questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing, please reach out to Jake at 773-303-6122.
