Description

This black beauty has all the extra chrome of a 1968 Chevelle Malibu in a performance-built V8 package that's meaner than an SS coupe. It has the room to bring the family along, but this one is truly set up for the driver.Yes...black is beautiful; black is sinister; and when it's put on in such as butter-smooth shine, black is perfect. We love a car that's as dark as midnight, because then we don't have to tell you how great the recently restored sheetmetal is. No dents or bad panel gaps could ever hide from this immaculate paint. The shine of the black is broken up by the dual stripes inspired by the iconic of Chevy's muscle car era. But this one is not trying to be an SS clone, and so it proudly wears the brighter grille and fender accents of the upscale Chevelle Malibu trim. The element that brings the new paint and classic style together is the set of wheels. These are far shinier and wider than anything that came out of the factory in '68, but they still carry that iconic Rally-style setup. It's a clear indicator there was a lot of thought that went into restoring this classic coupe. With an exterior this cool, you better believe there was plenty invested in making the interior just dark and comfortable. The carpets, seating, door panels, dash, and just about everything else feels so fresh because it is! You sit down in the low back driver's bucket, and your left hand is immediately resting on the custom three-spoke steering wheel. The iconic horseshoe shifter is a cool piece to rest your right hand even if you're not trying to bang your own way through the four-speed automatic. There's an AM/FM/CD stereo with new Sony speakers and an iPod hookup for the most modern tunes, but honestly, the exhaust will provide your favorite soundtrack. After all, the large AutoMeter tach and all those aftermarket gauges are there so you can keep watch on the beast lurking under the hood. The engine bay is show-ready with all the polished elements, hidden wires, and tidy new hoses, but that's not the reason why you'll lust after this V8. It's because the 355 cubic-inch small block has some serious muscle inside. It was built with 10:1 compression, roller rockers, Lunette camshaft, Pro Comp aluminum heads, Weiland intake, and a Demon 750 four-barrel carburetor. It fires up with a monstrous growl thanks to the long tube headers and dual exhaust with performance X-pipe construction. You'll have no trouble getting all of this power to the ground with four-speed automatic reinforced with a shift kit and TCI 10-inch lock up converter. This is mated to a stout 12-bolt rear end with Positraction and 4.10 gears for power take offs. Best of all, the full performance build has barely been broken in with only 116 miles on it. But more than just a new big power setup, there was an investment in this Chevelle to make sure it truly feels confident going down the road. That's why there is a new Strange Engineering brake master cylinder with accompanying new wires and hoses, front disc brakes, all new ball joints, new suspension bushings, and power steering. So yes, this custom build added much more substance than just flash and horsepower.Clean and mean, this Chevelle has a truly sinister personality that's backed up by everything from the paint to the exhaust growl. It's the new build you've always wanted for far less than you can do it yourself. Call today!!!
