1970 Chevelle SS, full numbers matching, concours restoration, original docs

Thank you for your interest in my 1970 ChevelleSS. Project "BAMA"After coming home from Vietnam, on 8/22/1970, the late Cornell Strickland of Opelika, Alabama, walked into Bill Heard Chevrolet in Columbus, Georiga and traded in a 1967 VW for this beautiful 1970 ChevelleSS. I am the 3rd owner, the second just stored it. I purchased it in 2013 and started a very intense, detailed and correct full rotisserie restoration to it. It has its correct, full numbers matching, born with original 396 block (factory bored to 402), heads, intake, distributor, carb, oil pan, turbo 400 transmission, rear end and frame with components. The motor, transmission, and rear all have been rebuilt and detailed to original appearance as each piece of this Chevellehave been also. The bodywork was done, blocked out several times and painted in its original cranberry red. The rarelyseen BUCKET seats column shift interior was totally restored using all Legendary brand upholstery, carpet, door panels, headliner and seat foams. All the GLASS has been replaced including windshield and backglass. I also have the originals. All gauges, have been rebuilt and lubed. lights, radio, etc.. work as they should. The original AM radio was sent out and was professionally retrofitted to an AM-FM, with AUX input for iPod. The chassis was completely disassembled, blasted and restored with all new bushings and hardware, all the markings were photographed and exactly replicated as well as the firewall makings. It has the original dealer license plate and trunk emblem on it. The emblem can be removed, it is on with double-sided tape. All the original parts that had to be replaced I kept, from the brake rotors and calipers to the points. I have the original build sheet that was on the door panel, sales invoice, protect o plate, warranty cards, and pamphlets along with past registrations and insurance papers. I have a complete thumb drive with over 300 pictures of the restoration. I am aChevelleenthusiast and have been restoring cars for a long time, I also have references from cars I have done in the past. I am not a dealer. This is a fresh restoration that was just finished.
